Biography Browning played for the Australia women's national basketball team during the late 1980s and early 1990s and competed for Australia at the 1990 World Championship held in Brazil. In the domestic Women's National Basketball League (WNBL), Browning played 282 games for the Australian Institute of Sport (1982 & 1983), Coburg Cougars (1984 & 1985), Nunawading Spectres (1986 – 1991) and the Dandenong Rangers (1992 – 1995). In the 1987 Grand Final between the Nunawading Spectres and Coburg Cougars, Browning was awarded the MVP. Having played over 250 games in the WNBL, Browning was awarded Life Membership in 1989. The 1990 FIBA World Championship for Women (Malay: Kejohanan Dunia FIBA 1990 untuk Wanita) was the 11th FIBA Women's Basketball World Cup, FIBA World Championship for Women. The tournament was hosted by Malaysia, from 12 to 22 July 1990. The Women's National Basketball League (WNBL) is a professional women's basketball list of basketball leagues, league in Australia composed of eight teams. The Australian Institute of Sport (AIS), known as AIS Pumas in the 1980s, competed in the Women's National Basketball League (WNBL) for 32 seasons. They were an inaugural team in the WNBL in 1981 and won a WNBL championship in the 1998–99 season. Nunawading Spectres is a NBL1 South club based in Melbourne, Victoria. The club fields a team in both the Men's and Women's NBL1 South. The club is a division of Melbourne East Basketball Association (MEBA), the major administrative basketball organisation in the City of Whitehorse. The Southside Flyers are an Australian professional basketball team based in Melbourne, Victoria. The Flyers compete in the Women's National Basketball League (WNBL) and play their home games at the State Basketball Centre. For sponsorship purposes, they are known as the Jayco Southside Flyers. The team was founded as the Dandenong Rangers in 1992. In 2019, the team was rebranded as the Southside Flyers.
