Trabzonspor B.K.
Trabzonspor Basketbol Kulübü (), also known as Trabzonspor Basket or Trabzonspor, is a professional basketball club based in the city of Trabzon, Turkey. It is a department of the multi-sport club of Trabzonspor. Trabzonspor played seven seasons in the Basketbol Süper Ligi, the highest tier in Turkey. The club withdrew in 2018 due to financial problems. After restarting basketball operations at the beginning of 2024, the club is competing in the Türkiye Basketbol Ligi as of the 2024–25 season. Their home arena is the Hayri Gür Arena, which has a capacity of 7,500 seats, and was opened in 2011. History Trabzonspor's football club was founded in 1967, and it opened its basketball section in 2008. The Turkish Basketball First League (; TBL), is Turkish basketball league system, the second-tier level league of professional club basketball in Turkey. The league was previously known as Turkish Basketball Second League (TB2L). 2015 EuroChallenge Final Four
The 2015 EuroChallenge Final Four was the concluding tournament of the 2014–15 EuroChallenge season. The tournament was held in the Hayri Gür Arena in Trabzon, home of Trabzonspor Medical Park, one of the semifinalists. JSF Nanterre took the title, after beating hosts Trabzonspor 63–64 in the Final. Energia Târgu Jiu took third place, while Fraport Skyliners finished fourth. Turkish Basketball Federation
The Turkish Basketball Federation () is the national federation for basketball in Turkey. It is headquartered in Istanbul. They organize the Basketball Super League, Women's Basketball Super League the Turkish Basketball Cup and the Turkish Basketball Presidential Cup. It is also responsible for appointing the management of the men's, women's and youth national basketball teams. In October 2016, Hidayet Türkoğlu was elected as its president. The Turkish Basketball Second League, also called TB2L, is Turkish basketball league system, the third-tier level league of professional club basketball in Turkey. The league was previously called the Turkish Basketball Third League (TB3L). EuroCup Basketball, commonly known as the EuroCup and currently called BKT EuroCup for sponsorship reasons, is an annual professional basketball club competition organized by Euroleague Basketball. The league is regarded as Euroleague Basketball's second-tier professional basketball club tournament. Founded as ULEB Cup in 2002, the competition lasted until 2008 when a new competition was introduced after an agreement between ULEB and FIBA under the name of ''EuroCup'' for the 2008–09 Eurocup Basketball, 2008–09 season, following a change in format.
