Toy (chewing Gum)
Toy was a chewing gum sold in Sweden. History Toy was created in 1930 by Marabou. In the 1960s and 1970s the chewing gum was an enormously popular in both Sweden and Norway and 600–700 tonnes of chewing gum were sold every year. Production was later taken over by Malaco Malaco is a Swedish brand of confectionery products owned by Cloetta. Their products are sold in Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland, the US, Israel and the Netherlands among others. Products include Brio, Fruxo, Pim Pim,Swedish Fish, Djungelvr� ... who moved the manufacturing to Denmark. During the 1990s a few hundred tons of chewing gum per year was made, but in 1998 the production was discontinued due to increased competition, mainly from sugar free chewing gums. The launch of sugar free Toy failed. For the 70th anniversary in 2004 a special edition batch of 700,000 packs were sold for a short period of time. Alice Babs
Hildur Alice Nilsson (26 January 1924 – 11 February 2014), known by her stage name Alice Babs, was a Swedish singer and actress. She worked in a wide number of genres – Swedish folklore, Elizabethan songs and opera. While she was best known internationally as a jazz singer, Babs also competed as Sweden's first annual competition entrant in the Eurovision Song Contest 1958. In 1972 she was named Sweden's Royal Court Singer, the first non-opera singer as such. Career After making her breakthrough in the film ''Swing it, magistern!'' Titti Sjöblom
Titti Sigrid Renée Eliasson Sjöblom (born 29 August 1949) is a Swedish pop singer. She is the daughter of singer Alice Babs and director Nils Ivar Sjöblom. She participated at Melodifestivalen 1974 with the song "Fröken Ur-sång", ending up in fourth place. Her first dinner shows and folk park tours with Charlie Norman took place during the mid-1970s. Bubble gum or bubblegum is a type of chewing gum, designed to be inflated out of the mouth as a bubble. Marabou (chocolate)
Marabou is a Swedish and Norwegian chocolate brand owned by Mondelez International. History The brand was founded by the Norwegian chocolatier Johan Throne Holst (1868–1946), who already had launched the same chocolate recipe in Norway under the name Freia with great success – in the beginning of the 20th century Freia owned over 50% of the Norwegian market. During the First World War, the continental European markets were closed, so the company decided to expand to Sweden. In 1916, the brand Marabou was created in Sweden;(noOm Marabou ''Marabou.se'' as the name Freja was already taken in Sweden, the company decided to name their Swedish branch after the stork in the logo.
