Towa Carson
Birgit Rose-Marie Anlert (née Carlsson, born 31 March 1936), known professionally as Towa Carson, is a Swedish schlager singer. She debuted in 1954 and had the most success in the 1950s and 1960s, with hits such as ''"De tre klockorna"'' (Swedish version of "The Three Bells", which peaked at No. 4, ''"Spara sista dansen för mig"'' ("Save the Last Dance for Me"), which also peaked at No. 4, and her biggest hit "''Jag måste ge mig av''" (Billy Grammer's "Gotta Travel On", Swedish lyrics by Peter Himmelstrand) which peaked at No. 3. Eskilstuna () is a Urban areas in Sweden, city and the seat of Eskilstuna Municipality, Södermanland County, Sweden. ''Allsång på Skansen'' (''Sing-along at Skansen'') is a Sweden, Swedish show held at Skansen, Stockholm, every summer on Tuesdays between 8pm and 9pm. The audience is encouraged to sing-along, sing along with musical guest stars to well-known Swedish and international songs. The show started in 1935 on a small scale; about 50 people in the audience. Today, about 10,000–25,500 people come to each performance. Since 3 August 1979 the show has been broadcast by Sveriges Television. Initially the show had about 300,000 viewers. When Lasse Berghagen took over as host, the ratings increased to about 2 million viewers. In 2003, ''Allsång på Skansen'' was the first SVT programme that was broadcast with 5.1 multichannel sound. In 2007, it became one of the first Swedish live programmes broadcast in high-definition television. The winner of the competition was Lena Philipsson with the song "Det gör ont". She represented in the Eurovision Song Contest 2004 with the English version of the song, " It hurts", where she came fifth with 170 points. Format The heats of Melodifestivalen 2004 began on 21 February 2004. Ten songs from these heats qualified for the final on March 20, 2004. This was the third year that a heat format had been used for the competition. The Viewers' Choice round was renamed to Second Chance, with the format remaining the same.
