The Tournament Capital Centre is a facility next to Thompson Rivers University's campus. It hosts the Thompson Rivers WolfPack Basketball games. Thompson Rivers University (commonly referred to as TRU) is a Public university, public research university located in Kamloops, British Columbia, Canada. The university's name comes from the two rivers which converge in Kamloops, the North Thompson River, North Thompson and South Thompson River, South Thompson. The university has five academic faculties, the smallest being the Thompson Rivers University Faculty of Law, Faculty of Law and the largest being the Faculty of Science, as well as three schools: the Bob Gaglardi School of Business and Economics, the School of Nursing, and the School of Trades and Technology. The TRU WolfPack are the athletic teams that represent Thompson Rivers University in Kamloops, British Columbia, Canada. They were known as the UCC Sun Demons prior to 2005. The WolfPack became an official member of the Canada West Universities Athletic Association on May 6, 2010. Varsity teams All compete in the Canada West Universities Athletic Association, which is a member U Sports — formerly known as Canadian Interuniversity Sport. Basketball * The WolfPack men's basketball team made it to the CIS Final 8 in 2015–16. They won a silver medal in Canada West in 2016.
