Toulon Métropole Var Handball is a women's handball club based in Toulon, France. The team is currently competes in the French Women's Handball First League from 2009 and they play their home matches in Palais des Sports de Toulon, Toulon. History The club was founded in 2005 as a result of an association (an ''entente'') between "Toulon Var Handball", playing in the elite handball league, and "HOC Saint-Cyr-sur-Mer", the 2005 champion of the second highest level league (Division 2) : "Entente Toulon/Saint-Cyr". Summer 2007, the 2 clubs fully merged to become "Toulon Saint-Cyr Var Handball". The club changed its name to "Toulon Métropole Var Handball" for the 2021/2022 season; they changed their logo too. Vigdis Hårsaker
Vigdis Hårsaker (born July 16, 1981) is a Norwegian former handball player, who played most of her club handball for Byåsen IL. She first played handball for Sjetne. At age 14, she transferred to Byåsen. In the 2002/03 season she was topscorer in the Norwegian league. She went a year to France to study the language, where she played for Toulon VAR HB ASCM (on loan by Byåsen). Later she played two years in for Larvik HK, where she won the Norwegian Championship and the EHF Cup Winners' Cup. But eventually she would eventually return to Byåsen again. In 2009 she became the player-assistant manager at the club. She retired in 2010. Hårsaker debuted on the Norwegian national team in 2000, at age 19. Christianne Mwasesa Mwange (born 23 March 1985) is a Congolese handball player for Primeiro de Agosto and the DR Congo national team. She competed at the 2013 World Women's Handball Championship in Serbia, where DR Congo placed 20th, and Mwasesa was top scorer for the Congolese team with 42 goals. She also represented DR Congo at the 2015 World Women's Handball Championship. Career Mwasesa started her career at Abidjan in the Ivory Coast, where she played until 2008.
