Touchdown Radio
Touchdown Radio, also known as Touchdown Radio Productions or Touchdown Radio Network, is a sports radio network specializing in live broadcasts of NCAA football. It was founded in 2007 by Gino Torretta, the 1992 Heisman Trophy winner. Touchdown Radio broadcasts at least one major college football game every Saturday during the college football season, along with select bowl games. Torretta handles color commentary on most broadcasts. Play-by-play announcers have included Taylor Zarzour, Frank Frangie, Roxy Bernstein, Brett Dolan, and Jim Szoke. Gino Torretta
Gino Louis Torretta (born August 10, 1970) is a former American football quarterback who played in the National Football League (NFL) for five seasons. He played college football at the University of Miami, won the Heisman Trophy in 1992, and was a member of the Miami Hurricanes' national championship teams of 1989 and 1991. A seventh-round pick in the 1993 NFL Draft, he was a member of several NFL teams, but never became a regular starter as a pro. He was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 2010. Heisman Trophy
The Heisman Memorial Trophy (usually known colloquially as the Heisman Trophy or The Heisman) is awarded annually to the most outstanding player in college football. Winners epitomize great ability combined with diligence, perseverance, and hard work. It is presented by the Heisman Trophy Trust in early December before the postseason bowl games. Frank Frangie is an American sports announcer who works as an afternoon drive talk show host on 1010XL/ 92.5 FM radio stations in Jacksonville, FL. He is the radio play-by-play voice of the Jacksonville Jaguars NFL football team. Allen Samuel "Roxy" Bernstein (born September 25, 1972) is an American sportscaster for ESPN, the Pac-12 Network, and the Oakland Athletics. Early life and career Bernstein was born in San Francisco and grew up on the Peninsula in the Bay Area. After graduating from Pinewood School in Los Altos, California, Bernstein went on to the University of California, Berkeley and graduated with a degree in American Studies. Brett Dolan is an American radio sportscaster who is the voice of Touchdown Radio's game of the week. He previously served as the play-by-play announcer for the Houston Astros. Before joining the Astros, he served as the play-by-play announcer for the Triple A Tucson Sidewinders of the Pacific Coast League from 2000-2005, Iowa Cubs from 1998-99, and the Beloit Snappers of the Midwest League from 1994-1997. He was chosen to fill in as a broadcaster for the Montreal Expos in 2003 and 2004 and during the 2004 and 2005 seasons he was the voice of the Arizona Fall League on MLB Radio. The All American Football League (AAFL) was a proposed professional american football minor league. The league, which was to combine a professional pay structure with the requirement that all players be college graduates, had originally been scheduled to start in the spring of 2007, but later postponed its launch to the spring of 2008, only to cancel its 2008 season a month before kickoff and suspend its launch until the next year. Sports Byline USA is an international sports radio network based in the United States. ''Sports Byline USA'' is also the name of the flagship program on the network.
