''Stereogum''s James Rettig called it "brighter and sweeter than its predecessor." ''Rolling Stone''s Selim Bulut called it a "flash of brightness" and a "cathartic release" amongst "all the EP's dark moments". Per Perry, "Touch the Sun" "is about the feel ... Hyperpop
Hyperpop (sometimes called bubblegum bass) is a loosely defined electronic music movement and microgenre that predominantly originated during the early 2010s in the United Kingdom. It is characterised by an exaggerated or maximalist take on popular music, and typically integrates pop and avant-garde sensibilities while drawing on elements commonly found in electronic, rock, hip hop, and dance music. Deriving influence from a varied range of sources, the origins of the hyperpop scene are commonly traced to the output of English musician A. G. Cook and his record label PC Music, as well as associated artists such as Sophie and Charli XCX. The approach received wider attention in August 2019 when Glenn MacDonald, an employee of Spotify, used the term "hyperpop" for the name of a playlist featuring artists such as Cook and 100 gecs. The style gained popularity among younger people through social media platforms like TikTok, which boosted its exposure particularly during the ... Hell Is Here (song)
"Hell Is Here" is the debut single by Cryalot, a solo project of Kero Kero Bonito vocalist Sarah Midori Perry. It was released on 30 June 2022 by AWAL as the lead single from her debut solo EP ''Icarus''. The song was produced by former Kero Kero Bonito touring drummer Jennifer Walton, and was released alongside a music video directed by Joshua Homer. Background and style In a statement, Perry said that the song "is about defeat; it depicts the part of the Icarus story after he descends into the sea" and that it "explores this feeling of despair and powerlessness. Per ''BroadwayWorld''s Michael Major, "Hell Is Here" "draws from certain aesthetics of black metal with synths that evolve into warped guitars and Sarah's screams echoing powerfully through the track." Icarus
In Greek mythology, Icarus (; , ) was the son of the master craftsman Daedalus, the architect of the labyrinth of Crete. After Theseus, king of Athens and enemy of King Minos, escaped from the labyrinth, Minos suspected that Icarus and Daedalus had revealed the labyrinth's secrets and imprisoned them—either in a large tower overlooking the ocean or in the labyrinth itself, depending upon the account. Icarus and Daedalus escaped using wings Daedalus constructed from birds’ molted feathers, threads from blankets, the leather straps from their sandals, and beeswax. Before escaping, Daedalus warned Icarus not to fly too low or the water would soak the feathers and not to fly too close to the sun or the heat would melt the wax. Icarus ignored Daedalus's instructions to not to fly too close to the sun, causing the beeswax in his wings to melt. Icarus fell from the sky, plunged into the sea, and drowned. The myth gave rise to the idiom, "wikt:fly too close to the sun, fly too close ... [...More Info...]       [...Related Items...]     OR:     [Wikipedia]   [Google]   [Baidu]   |

Sarah has her feast day on 1 September in the Catholic Church, 19 August in the Coptic Orthodox Church, 20 January in the LCMS, and 12 and 20 December in the Eastern Orthodox Church. In the Hebrew Bible Family According to Book of Genesis 20:12, in conversation with the Philistine king Abimelech of Gerar, Abraham describes Sarah as both his wife and his half-sister ("my father's daughter, but not my mother's"). Such unions were later explicitly banned in the Book of Leviticus (). However, some commentators identify her as Iscah (Genesis 11:29), a daughter of Abraham's brother Haran.Schwartz, Howard, (1998).
