It was released on 5 May 2021 by Lynx Entertainment and distributed by MadeInENY, a subsidiary of Empire Distribution, EMPIRE as the lead single for his Golden Boy (Kidi album), Golden Boy Album. It also debuted at number 20 on the Billboard World Digital Song Sales chart. Composition Touch It is an upbeat and energetic Afropop track combining catchy melodies and infectious rhythms. The song takes inspiration from Caribbean reggaeton and moombahton and revolves around happiness, attraction, and desire themes. The song was written by Kidi, who also co-produced it with Richie Mensah, and Jack Knight (songwriter), Jack Knight. KiDi
Dennis Nana Dwamena (born 18 August 1993), known by his stage name KiDi (which translates to "rhythm"), is a Ghanaian singer-songwriter. He is known for his contributions to the genres of afrobeats and high-life. Music career Early beginnings and breakthrough While studying Economics and Information Studies at the University of Ghana, KiDi's love for music led him to perform on Moonlight Café – a music production that supports upcoming artists and gives them a platform to display their talents on University Campuses in Ghana. He also recorded covers of popular songs. In 2015, KiDi took a leap of faith by joining the MTN Hitmaker competition. He went on to win the competition and was later signed to Lynx Entertainment.
