Totalfat
Totalfat (stylized as TOTALFAT) is a Japanese melodic punk rock band formed in 1999. Totalfat consists of vocalist/guitarist , vocalist/bassist Shun, and drummer Bunta. Background Totalfat started out playing NOFX songs in 2000. Their shows were mainly songs of Ten Foot Pole, Millencolin and Slick Shoes. In 2003, Totalfat released their first album entitled '' End of Introduction'', from Japanese independent label Catch All Records. They embarked on a CD release Japan tour which included 41 shows. The first album sold 3,500 copies. In 2004, Totalfat released an EP entitled '' Get It Better'' from Catch All Records. Then, they had a CD release tour which included 48 shows around Japan. The EP sold about 3,000 copies. They also play plenty of festivals in Japan, such as Rock in Japan, Punk Spring, and always support Summer Sonic Festival from 2009 to present. Summer Sonic Festival
is an annual music festival held on one weekend in August simultaneously in both Chiba and Osaka, Japan. The festival features revolving lineups performing one day in Osaka then performing the next day in Chiba and vice-versa. The lineup often features major international acts in addition to Japanese artists from major and independent record companies. The festival was first held in 2000 at Fuji-Q Highland resort in Yamanashi Prefecture. The festival moved to Chiba in 2001, just east of Tokyo, and has occurred in both Chiba and Osaka simultaneously since 2002. Since 2011 the festival has been preceded by the all-night event Sonicmania, a separately ticketed event held in only Chiba featuring an EDM-centric lineup. The 2009 and 2011 editions of the festival were held over three days while all other editions of the festival have been two days. Joe Inoue
is a Japanese rock musician signed to Sony Music Entertainment Japan's Ki/oon Records label. Background and career He was born and raised in Los Angeles, California, to two Japanese immigrants. It was not until middle school that he became interested in music and that eventually led him to start his musical career in 2007. He was accepted to UCLA and UC Berkeley but had chosen music. Inoue performs every instrument on his recordings in addition to writing and composing the pieces on his own. He claims to have learned Japanese by reading manga and watching anime. He gained prominence when his song "Closer" was used as the fourth opening theme for '' Naruto: Shippuden''. His fifth single "Kaze no Gotoku" was used as the second theme song for the '' Yorinuki Gin Tama-san'' anime. Inoue contributed to Tetsuya's 2011 solo album '' Come On!'' by rapping on the track "Eden" and later wrote and was featured on Totalfat's 2011 single "World of Glory".
