Toshio Suzuki (studio Ghibli)
is a Japanese film producer. He is a founder, chairman, and former president of Studio Ghibli. Early life Suzuki was born in Nagoya in Aichi Prefecture in 1948. In 1967 he enrolled at Keio University and graduated with a degree in literature in 1972. Career 1970s: Tokuma Shoten His professional career started at Tokuma Shoten, joining the company shortly after graduation. He was assigned to the planning department of Asahi Geino, entertainment, magazine, where he was responsible for the manga coverage page. Here he had a long anticipated meeting with cartoonist Shigeru Sugiura. Isao Takahata
was a Japanese director, screenwriter and producer. A co-founder of Studio Ghibli, he earned international critical acclaim for his work as a director of Japanese animated feature films. Born in Ujiyamada, Mie Prefecture, Takahata joined Toei Animation after graduating from the University of Tokyo in 1959. He worked as an assistant director, holding various positions over the years and collaborating with colleague Hayao Miyazaki, eventually directing his own film, '' The Great Adventure of Horus, Prince of the Sun'' (1968). Hideo Ogata
was a producer and planner in Japan. He was also the founding editor of '' Animage'' magazine, the second largest anime and manga magazine in Japan, and the editor of the '' Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind'' manga series.
