Torsten Schack Pedersen
Torsten Schack Pedersen (born 26 June 1976) is a Danish politician, who is a member of the Folketing for the Venstre (Denmark), Venstre political party. He was elected into parliament at the 2005 Danish general election. Political career Youth politics Pedersen served as Chairman of Venstre's youth wing, Venstres Ungdom, between 2001 and 2003. Parliament He was elected into parliament at the 2005 election, and was reelected in 2007 Danish general election, 2007, 2011 Danish general election, 2011, 2015 Danish general election, 2015 and 2019 Danish general election, 2019. DR (), officially the Danish Broadcasting Corporation in English, is a Danish public-service radio and television broadcasting company. Founded in 1925 as a public-service organization, it is Denmark's oldest and largest electronic media enterprise. DR shares many of its organisational characteristics with its British counterpart, the BBC, on which it was largely modelled. DR is a founding member of the European Broadcasting Union. TV 2 is a Danish government-owned broadcast and subscription television station, based in Odense, Funen. The station was founded in 1986, and made its first official broadcast in 1988. It makes daily broadcasts of regional and national news, as well as its morning talk show, '' Go'morgen Danmark''. History Since 1949, Danmarks Radio had been the sole provider of television in Denmark. Wanting to end the monopoly, the Danish Parliament voted on 30 May 1986, to create TV2, as a second choice for public service television.
