Torsten Magnusson
Torsten Karl Adolf Magnusson (24 December 1907 – 24 November 1987) was a Swedish physicist and defense research scientists. Magnusson was Director-General of the Swedish National Defence Research Institute (FOA) from 1968 to 1974 and was one of the prominent figures of the Swedish nuclear weapons program. Early life Magnusson was born on 24 December 1907 in Vreta Kloster parish, Östergötland County, Sweden, the son of Carl Magnusson, a station master, and his wife Signe (née Samuelsson). He received a Bachelor of Arts degree (fil.kand.) from Uppsala University in 1929, Master of Philosophy (fil.mag.) in 1932, Licentiate of Philosophy (fil.lic.) in 1936 and Doctor of Philosophy (fil.dr.) in 1938 with a dissertation on X-ray spectroscopy. Sundbyberg Municipality
Sundbyberg Municipality ( or ''Sundbybergs stad'') is a municipality in Stockholm County in east central Sweden, just north of the capital Stockholm. Sundbyberg is wholly within the Stockholm urban area and has a 100% urban population. Sundbyberg was detached from Bromma (which since 1916 is in Stockholm Municipality) in 1888 as a market town (''köping''). It got the title of a city in 1927. In 1949 parts of Solna Municipality and Spånga Municipality (when the rest of Spånga was amalgamated into Stockholm) were added. A proposed merger with Solna in 1971 was never implemented, making Sundbyberg, with an area of , the smallest municipality in Sweden, but also the most densely populated. Martin Fehrm
Erik Martin Fehrm (8 March 1910 – 6 August 2001) was a Swedish engineer and civil servant. Fehrm, after completing his ''studentexamen'', pursued studies at the Royal Institute of Technology, graduating in electrical engineering in 1932. Driven by a passion for radio technology, he joined the Royal Swedish Army Materiel Administration in 1933. During World War II, Fehrm served as a 3rd degree flight engineer in the Royal Swedish Air Force Materiel Administration, contributing to eco-radio development and investigating advanced military equipment. Post-war, he held significant roles, including heading a department at the Swedish National Defence Research Institute and later serving as its Director General until 1968. Fehrm continued his influential career as the Director General of the National Swedish Board for Technical Development from 1968 to 1971 and contributed to various national research councils and associations until the mid-1980s. The Royal Order of the Polar Star (Swedish language, Swedish: ''Kungliga Nordstjärneorden''), sometimes translated as the Royal Order of the North Star, is a Swedish order of chivalry created by Frederick I of Sweden, King Frederick I on 23 February 1748, together with the Order of the Sword and the Order of the Seraphim. The Order of the Polar Star is intended as a reward for Swedish and foreign "civic merits, for devotion to duty, for science, literary, learned and useful works and for new and beneficial institutions". Its motto is, as seen on the blue enameled centre of the badge, ''Nescit Occasum'', a Latin phrase meaning "It knows no decline".
