Torhild Marie Helene Johnsen (14 August 1934 – 21 October 2022) was a Norwegian politician for the Christian Democratic Party. Thorild Olsson
Thorild Olsson (26 November 1886 – 19 March 1934) was a Swedish runner who competed in the 1912 Summer Olympics in Stockholm. He helped the Swedes win Silver in the men's 3000 m teams race. Each team consisted of 5 runners starting simultaneously, but only the placings of the first 3 in each team counted. The final consisted of teams from the US, Sweden and Great Britain. USA won the event with places 1, 3 and 5 while the Swedes, with Thorild Olsson 2nd, Ernst Wide 4th and Bror Fock 7th, took silver. Olsson's time of 8:44.6 would have been a world record before the 1912 games. (Translated from Swedish by his grandson, who has seen photos of him finishing second.) Torild Skard (born 29 November 1936) is a Norwegian psychologist, politician for the Socialist Left Party, a former deputy permanent secretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and a former chairman of UNICEF. She served as a Member of Parliament for Akershus, president of its Upper Chamber and deputy chair of the Standing Committee on Justice from 1973 to 1977. She served as director for Questions relating to the Status of Women of UNESCO 1984–1986 and regional director for West and Central Africa at UNICEF 1994–1998. Torhild Staahlen (25 September 1947 – 17 December 2021) was a Norwegian operatic mezzo-soprano who was employed at Norwegian National Opera from 1967 to 1969 and from 1971 to 2000. She had her solo debut as Suzuki in ''Madam Butterfly'' with The Norwegian National Opera in Oslo in 1971. Staahlen was born in Skien Norway on 25 September 1947. She studied at Oslo Conservatory of Music and graduated from the Norwegian College of Opera in Oslo in 1971. She was a pupil of Audrey Langford in London. Thorild Wulff (born 1 April 1877 in Gothenburg; died late August or early September 1917 in Northwest Greenland) was a Swedish botanist and polar explorer. Career He obtained his doctorate degree from Lund University in 1902 based on observation he had made during a Swedish-Russian geodesy expedition to Svalbard. Contains four parts: I.
