The following is a list of characters that have appeared or will appear in the serial in 2018, by order of first appearance. All characters were introduced by executive producer, Bryan Kirkwood. The first characters to be introduced were Scarlett Morgan ( Susie Amy) and Oliver Morgan ( Aedan Duckworth/Gabriel Clark), the estranged wife and son of Luke Morgan (Gary Lucy). ''Hollyoaks'' is a British soap opera which originally began airing on Channel 4 on 23 October 1995. It was created by Phil Redmond, who had previously conceived the soap opera ''Brookside (TV series), Brookside''. From 2005 to 2023, episodes have aired on sister channel E4 (TV channel), E4 a day prior to their broadcast on Channel 4. In 2023, ''Hollyoaks'' was removed from Channel 4's early evening schedule, but remains on E4 and Channel 4 (VoD service), Channel 4's on demand service with episodes now uploaded to YouTube. At its inception, the soap was targeted towards an adolescent and young adult audience but it has since broadened its appeal to all age groups. Rupert Hill
Rupert Sinclair Hill (born 15 June 1978) is an English actor. He is known for his roles in several soap operas. Career Hill started with small roles on television. He appeared in an episode of ''EastEnders'' as Robbie's half-brother Kevin Bolton, and also played a part in a music video by the band Haven. He subsequently went into the ongoing role of Cameron Davenport in daily serial '' Family Affairs'', a role he played from 2002 to 2004. He was then cast in ''Coronation Street'', as Danny Baldwin's ( Bradley Walsh) son Jamie Baldwin in 2004. Hill played guitar in the defunct band Shepherd's Pi which he formed with former ''Family Affairs'' co-stars Sam Stockman and Angela Hazeldine. He now leads a group called Biederbeck. Anu Haasan (born Anuradha Chandrahasan) is an Indian actress and TV anchor.
