Linden, Guyana
Linden is the second largest city in Guyana after Georgetown, Guyana, Georgetown, and capital of the Upper Demerara-Berbice region, located at , altitude . It was declared a town in 1970, and includes the communities of MacKenzie, Christianburg, and Wismar. It lies on the Demerara River and has a population of 27,277 as of 2012. Guyana Football Federation (GFF) National Super League was the top division in Guyana. It was replaced by the GFF Elite League beginning with the 2015–16 GFF Elite League, 2015–16 season. The league used regional qualifying tournaments to determine participants. In its last installment in 2013–14 GFF National Super League, 2013–14, five teams from Georgetown, Guyana, Georgetown, three from Upper Demerara, three from East Coast Demerara, two from Berbice, two from West Demerara, and one from East Bank Demerara were represented.
