Tope Tedela
Temitope Christopher Tedela (born 5 June 1990) is a Nigerian actor and producer. He has received several awards for his work including Africa Magic Viewers Choice Award, Nigeria Entertainment Award, Best of Nollywood Award and Nollywood Movies Award. Tedela's work has been screened at international film festivals including Cannes Film Festival, Toronto International Film Festival and BFI London Film Festival. ''A Soldier's Story'' is a 2015 Nigerian action drama film directed by Frankie Ogar. It had Tope Tedela, Linda Ejiofor and Daniel K Daniel in lead roles. For his role as "Bossman", Daniel K Daniel won AMAA and AMVCA awards. Plot The opening scenes starts with soldiers in a war torn city of a country neighbouring Nigeria. A bomb blows up after some rebels attack the soldiers. Major Egan (Tope Tedela) sneaks out of his matrimonial bed to dress up for a military mission. Unbeknownst to him, his wife, Lebari ( Adesua Etomi) was awake. After a confrontational session and later intervention of Col. Akin Omotoso
Akin Omotoso (born 1974) is a Nigerian film director, writer, and actor. He is best known for directing the 2022 film ''Rise (2022 film), Rise''. Both his father Kole Omotoso and his sister Yewande Omotoso are also writers. Early life and education Omotoso was born in Nigeria where he grew up in Ile Ife, Osun State. His family emigrated to South Africa in 1992 after his father, Kole Omotoso, took an academic appointment with the University of the Western Cape. This prompted Akin Omotoso to study at the same university, obtaining a diploma in speech and drama. His mother died in 2003. Career Omotoso ventured into entertainment while at the university. His acting debut was in ''Sunjata'' by Mark Fleishman. This also earned him a Fleur du Cap Award for Most Promising Student in 1995. 2019 Toronto International Film Festival
The 44th annual Toronto International Film Festival was held from 5 to 15 September 2019.
