''Tonårsdrömmar'' (English: ''Teenage dreams'') is the debut album by the Swedish rock band Noice, released on 30 October 1979. The band was allowed to record the single, ''Television''/''Du é inte man'' in the Rock -79 talent show, and was later allowed to record the album that would stay on the Swedish albums chart Sverigetopplistan (, lit. "the Sweden top list") is the Swedish national record chart, based on sales data from IFPI Sverige. Noice
Noice is a Swedish punk rock band from Gustavsberg formed in 1975. The band began in the early 1970s when friends Peo Thyrén (bass guitar, vocals), Freddie Hansson (keyboards) and Robert Klasen (drums) started playing together in an unnamed band. Later they had a band called Pink Panthers, which also included Hasse Carlsson (lead vocals, guitar) and Robert Liman (guitar, who left the band in 1979, before their debut album). In 1977 the band changed their name to Noise (spelling later changed to Noice, as there was already an existing Swedish band called Noise). After winning a talent contest, the band were signed to Sonet and released their punk rock-influenced debut album '' Tonårsdrömmar'' ("Teenage dreams") in late October 1979. Power Pop
Power pop (also typeset as powerpop) is a subgenre of rock music and form of pop rock based on the early music of bands such as the Who, the Beatles, the Beach Boys, and the Byrds. Sonet Records
Sonet Records was a jazz, pop and rock record label operating as an imprint of Universal Music Sweden. It was founded in Sweden in 1956. Sonet Records was established by Sven Lindholm and Gunnar Bergström, who managed the label into the 1980s. Dag Haeggqvist, the owner of Gazell Records, became an executive of the label in 1960, and Sonet eventually acquired Gazell's catalogue. It was distributed by Pickwick Records in North America in the 1960s, where it was involved in releasing some of Bill Haley's latter-day material. The label set up offices throughout Europe, including the United Kingdom. It also expanded into film, video, and other visual arts in addition to music. Sverigetopplistan (, lit. "the Sweden top list") is the Swedish national record chart, based on sales data from IFPI Sverige.
