Anthony John "Tony" Ward (1924 – 9 May 2006) was an Australian television actor, director and producer and journalist. He is regarded as Australian television's original action star, on ''Hunter'', and was an inaugural reporter on two national current affairs programs, ''Seven Days'' and '' A Current Affair''. Tony Ward born 27 March 1970) is a Lebanese fashion designer. Named “The Architect of Detail”, he draws his inspiration from contemporary architecture. Early life Ward was born in Beirut. He is the son of Elie Ward, a couturier. At 18, Ward enrolled in the Ecole de la Chambre Syndicale de la Couture Parisienne in Paris, France. He worked with Claude Montana at Lanvin, with Gianfranco Ferré at Dior, and then with Karl Lagerfeld at Chloé, where he studied haute couture before he launched his own brand ''Tony Ward Couture.'' Early life Tony Ward was born in Santa Cruz, California, on June 10, 1963, to Robert Borden Ward, from Kansas, and Karen Elizabeth Castro. Tony Ward (born 5 December 1941 in Highgate, London) is a former football referee and assistant referee. During his career he officiated in the English Football League and Premier League, as well as in FIFA-sanctioned matches. He resided in New Southgate, London. Career Ward started his career in 1962, serving the South East Counties, Spartan, Athenian and Isthmian leagues, before becoming a Football League linesman in 1974. His first match was a Second Division game between Portsmouth and Nottingham Forest. In 1980, he was promoted to the Referees List of the Football League; his first match was between Lincoln City and Wigan Athletic. Ward reached the normal retirement age of 48 in 1990, but he was retained for a further three seasons along with other high-performing referees. He did not have Premier League appointments initially on its formation in 1992-1993 but was regularly chosen for matches in the second half of the season. Anthony Joseph Patrick Ward (born 8 October 1954) is an Irish former rugby union and football player during the 1970s and 1980s. He played rugby as a fly-half for Munster, Leinster, , the British and Irish Lions and the Barbarians. Ward was selected 1979 European rugby player of the year. He was born in Leeds before his Irish family moved back to Ireland. Playing career Ireland Ward won 19 caps for Ireland between 1978 and 1987. He made his international debut against Scotland at Lansdowne Road on 21 January 1978 at the age of 23, helping Ireland win 12–9. During the 1978 Five Nations Championship he scored 38 points, a record for a debutant. He made one major tour with Ireland, to Australia in 1979.
