Tony Strickland
Anthony A. Strickland (born February 17, 1970) is an American politician who is a California State Senate, California state senator representing the California's 36th senatorial district, 36th district since 2025. A member of the Republican Party (United States), Republican Party, he previously represented the California's 19th senatorial district, 19th district from 2008 to 2012. He was a member of the Huntington Beach City Council from 2022 to 2025 and was Mayor of Huntington Beach from 2022 to 2023. During his tenure as Mayor, he was involved in conflicts with the state of California due to his opposition to new housing. He was also a California State Assembly, state assemblyman representing the California's 37th State Assembly district, 37th district from 1998 to 2004. He owns a political and business consulting firm. John Chiang (Traditional Chinese: 江俊輝; born July 31, 1962) is an American politician who served as the 33rd Treasurer of California from 2015 to 2019. Abel O. Maldonado Jr. (born August 21, 1967) is an American politician who served as the 48th lieutenant governor of California from April 27, 2010 to January 3, 2011. As of 2025, he is the last Republican to serve as California's Lieutenant Governor.
