Tony Smith (American Football)
Tony Derrell Smith (born June 29, 1970) is an American former professional football player who was a running back for three seasons with the Atlanta Falcons of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the Southern Miss Golden Eagles and was selected by the Falcons in the first round of the 1992 NFL draft with the 19th overall pick. He also played for the Toronto Argonauts of the Canadian Football League (CFL). A running back (RB) is a member of the offensive backfield in gridiron football. Jerry Michael Glanville (born October 14, 1941) is an American football coach. He is the defensive coordinator for Northwestern Oklahoma State University, a position he has held since 2024. Prior to that, was most recently the head coach of the Alabama Airborne of Major League Football (MLFB), Major League Football (MLFB). He played football at Northern Michigan University in the early 1960s, and is a former NASCAR driver and owner, and sportscaster. The 1992 NFL draft was the procedure by which National Football League teams selected amateur college football players. It is officially known as the NFL Annual Player Selection Meeting. The Southern Miss Golden Eagles football program represents the University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg, Mississippi.
