Tony Olmos is a Mexican-American filmmaker and musician who directed the films ''Hemet, or the Landlady Don't Drink Tea'' (2023), ''South of 8'' (2016), ''Fletcher and Jenks'' (2016) and Pulp Friction (film), ''Pulp Friction'' (2021). He was awarded Best Dramatic Screenplay at the Downtown Los Angeles Film Festival in 2016 and received several nominations at the GI Film Festival San Diego in 2017. Personal life Olmos resides in La Jolla, California. He was previously a musician before becoming a filmmaker. Career Olmos filmed his movies in San Diego County, which is where most of them are set in. His work in character development is influenced by Martin Scorsese. Idyllwild International Festival Of Cinema
The Idyllwild International Festival of Cinema (IIFC) is an independent film festival held since 2009 in Idyllwild, California. The festival is run by its founder, director Stephen Savage. The tenth annual IIFC was held March 5 through 10, 2019. As of 2019, the Grand Jury was composed of Wolfgang Bodison, Irene Bedard, Kristoff St. John, Conor O'Farrell, Juan Ruiz Anchia, Erika Christensen, Anne Archer and Peter Szebadi. IIFC's schedule overlaps with the much larger Palm Springs International Film Festival in Palm Springs. Savage has said scheduling the festival in January helps the local economy during the slow season. Rotten Tomatoes is an American review-aggregation website for film and television.
