Tony Lochhead
Tony James Lochhead (born 12 January 1982) is a New Zealand former professional footballer who appeared with the New Zealand men's national football team. Early life and education Lochhead was born on 12 January 1982 in Tauranga, New Zealand. He was a student at Otumoetai College in Tauranga, where he played football and volleyball. Lochhead went to the United States in 2001 to study at the University of California, Santa Barbara. He was a student-athlete and played college soccer for the UC Santa Barbara Gauchos men's soccer team. He was a team member from 2001 to 2004, starting all 83 games he played, and set a school record for total minutes. Lochhead was named first-team All-Big West Conference in 2003, and was a second-team All-American and the Big West Defensive Player of the Year in 2004. Bryan Byrne (born 26 August 1982) is an Irish former professional footballer who played as a midfielder in Europe and the United States. Early life and education Byrne was born on 26 August 1982, in Kilkenny, Ireland, and was raised in Castledermot. He started his career at local club Castle Villa A.F.C., where he played from U-10's through U-18's. Byrne was signed by Dermot Keely to play senior-level soccer for Kildare County F.C. for the 2002–03 season. USL League Two (USL2), formerly the Premier Development League (PDL), is a semi-professional soccer league sponsored by United Soccer Leagues in the United States, forming part of the United States soccer league system. The New Zealand National League is the name given to the current New Zealand top association football, football competition. Originally set up as the New Zealand National Soccer League there has been many versions of the competition as well as many different names. The most common format saw club teams play each other, at least two times, on a home and away basis. At the completion of those games, the best-performing team was declared as the New Zealand champion. The latest version has the clubs play in their regional leagues with the top teams qualifying for the Championship phase to then play each other for the champion.
