Tony Lindsay
Anthony Mark Lindsay (born 1954) is a vocalist and longest-tenured lead singer of Santana. He first joined the band 1991 and performed with Santana from 1995 to 2015, the group's period of greatest commercial success, during which it released the album ''Supernatural'' (1999) and won 11 Grammy Awards, including Record of the Year, Album of the Year and Best Rock Album. Biography Tony Lindsay grew up in Kingston, New York, and began performing there as an 8-year-old in an a cappella group. Lindsay studied at Albany State University, an hour up the Hudson from his hometown, and spent eight years in Albany, the state's capital. Remixes & Rarities is a compilation album containing rare songs and previously unreleased remixes by UK band, Temposhark, a project of singer/songwriter Robert Diament. It was released in October 2009 as a digital download. The digital version of the album includes a PDF downloadable artwork file. ''Shaman'' is the nineteenth studio album by Santana. Shaman was released on October 22, 2002, and debuted at number 1 on the ''Billboard'' 200 with first week sales of 298,973. It was certified Double Platinum by the RIAA and Gold in Greece. The first single of the album was " The Game of Love", featuring Michelle Branch. " Why Don't You & I", featuring Chad Kroeger of Nickelback, was also re-recorded as a single in 2003, which featured Alex Band of the Calling. He released 61 albums, sold more than 40 million records, and had numerous charting singles, most notably the song " You'll Never Find Another Love like Mine". Teddy Pendergrass
Theodore DeReese Pendergrass (March 26, 1950 – January 13, 2010) was an American Soul music, soul and R&B singer and songwriter. He was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Pendergrass lived most of his life in the Philadelphia area, and initially rose to musical fame as the lead singer of Harold Melvin & the Blue Notes. After leaving the group in 1976, Pendergrass launched a successful solo career under the Philadelphia International Records, Philadelphia International label, releasing five consecutive platinum albums (a record at the time for an African-American R&B artist).
