Tony Boskovic
Anton Boskovic (27 January 1933 – 16 June 2022) was an Australian soccer referee. Career Born in Blato, Croatia, Yugoslavia, he emigrated to Australia from the former Yugoslavia in 1955. Boskovic is known for having refereed two matches in the FIFA World Cup, one in 1974 and one in 1982. He was inducted into the Football Federation Australia Hall of Fame in 1999. Blato, Korčula
Blato (often Blato na Korčuli, lit. 'Blato on Korčula') is a municipality on the island of Korčula in Croatia. It can be reached by the main island road from town of Korčula (town), Korčula. The road runs through the forests in the middle of the island of Korčula. National Soccer League
The National Soccer League (NSL) was the top-level soccer league in Australia, run by Soccer Australia and later the Australian Soccer Association. The NSL, the A-League's predecessor, spanned 28 seasons from its inception in 1977 until its demise in 2004, when it was succeeded by the A-League competition run by Football Federation Australia, the successor to the Australian Soccer Association. The 1974 FIFA World Cup was the 10th FIFA World Cup, a quadrennial Association football, football tournament for men's senior national teams, and was played in West Germany (and West Berlin) between 13 June and 7 July.
