Tony Booth (boxer)
Tony Booth (born 30 January 1970) is a British former professional boxer who competed from 1990 to 2008. At regional level, he challenged once for the Commonwealth cruiserweight title in 1994, and once for the British and Commonwealth light-heavyweight titles in 1998. During his career, Booth held the record for the most wins of any active British professional boxer. Professional career Booth challenged Franco Wanyama on 28 January 1994, for the vacant Commonwealth cruiserweight title, losing by technical knockout in the second round. A points decision is a winning criterion in several full-contact combat sports, such as boxing, kickboxing, Muay Thai, mixed martial arts and others sports involving striking. Unlike normal decisions where there are three judges that agree on which fighter won the match, the fight is scored by the referee, who determines who wins the bout. The World Boxing Organization (WBO) is an organization which sanctions professional boxing bouts. A corner retirement or corner stoppage – abbreviated "RTD (Retired)" by BoxRec – are terms used in boxing to describe a fight that ends when, during any rest period between rounds, a boxer refuses to continue or their corner pulls them out, thereby forcing the referee to call an end to the fight. In contrast, a technical knockout (TKO) may only be declared by the referee or ringside doctor, at any stage of the fight including rest periods. World Amateur Boxing Championships
The IBA World Boxing Championships, and the IBA Women's World Boxing Championships (previously known as AIBA), are biennial amateur boxing competitions organised by the International Boxing Association (IBA), which is the sport governing body. Alongside the Olympic boxing programme, they are the highest level of competition for the sport. Cardiff Castle
Cardiff Castle ( cy, Castell Caerdydd) is a medieval castle and Victorian Gothic revival mansion located in the city centre of Cardiff, Wales.
