Tony Berti
Charles Anton Berti, Jr. (born June 21, 1972, in Rock Springs, Wyoming) is a former professional American football player who played offensive lineman for four seasons for the San Diego Chargers. Starting at guard and tackle in 1996 and 1997, Tony was an integral member of the Chargers' offensive line. A shoulder injury during training camp in 1998, put Tony on the IR list for most of the season. With a significant number of starters injured and limited maneuverability under the salary cap, the Chargers reluctantly traded Tony to the play-off bound Seattle Seahawks with only five weeks remaining in the season. In 1999, Tony was one of only two free-agents signed by the two-time Super Bowl champion Denver Broncos. Guard (American Football)
In gridiron football, a guard (G), otherwise known as an offensive guard (OG), is a player who lines up between the center and the tackles on the offensive line of a football team on the line of scrimmage used primarily for blocking. Right guards (RG) is the term for the guards on the right of the offensive line, while left guards (LG) are on the left side. Guards are to the right or left of the center. The guard's job is to protect the quarterback from the incoming linemen during pass plays, as well as creating openings (holes) for the running backs to head through. Gustavo David Miguel Diaz-Infante (born March 31, 1964) is a former professional American football guard and center and current assistant offensive line coach for the Los Angeles Chargers of the NFL. In the National Football League, he played for the San Diego Chargers, Denver Broncos, and the Philadelphia Eagles. Diaz-Infante also played in the World League of American Football for the Frankfurt Galaxy, in the Canadian Football League for the Sacramento Gold Miners and in the XFL with the Las Vegas Outlaws. Kurt Gouveia
Kurt Keola Gouveia (born September 14, 1964) is an American football coach and former linebacker who played 13 seasons in the National Football League and one season in the XFL. During his career, he played for the Washington Redskins (1986–1994; 1999), the Philadelphia Eagles (1995), and the San Diego Chargers (1996–1998). In 2001, he also played for the Las Vegas Outlaws in the now-defunct XFL. Playing career Gouveia played college football for Brigham Young University and was a member of their 1984 National Championship team. Gouveia was also a member of the Hawaii State Football Championship Team, Wai'anae High School, 1980. Gouvia played for BYU from 1983-1985, recording 224 tackles, 10 sacks, and 2 interceptions.
