Tony Berti
Charles Anton Berti Jr. (born June 21, 1972) is an American former professional football player who was an offensive lineman for four seasons with the San Diego Chargers of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the Colorado Buffaloes and was selected in the sixth round of the 1995 NFL draft. Starting at guard and tackle in 1996 and 1997, Berti was an integral member of the Chargers' offensive line. A shoulder injury during training camp in 1998, put him on the IR list for most of the season. With a significant number of starters injured and limited maneuverability under the salary cap, the Chargers reluctantly traded Berti to the play-off bound Seattle Seahawks with only five weeks remaining in the season. In American football, a guard (G), otherwise known as an offensive guard (OG), is an Lineman (gridiron football), offensive line player who lines up between the center (American football), center and the offensive tackle, tackles. Like other offensive line positions, guards are used primarily for Blocking (American football), blocking. Right guards (RG) is the term for the guards on the right of the offensive line, while left guards (LG) are on the left side. Notable guards in the National Football League include Chris Lindstrom (Atlanta Falcons), Quentin Nelson (Indianapolis Colts), and Joe Thuney (Chicago Bears). Fumble
A fumble in gridiron football occurs when a player who has possession and control of the ball loses it before being downed (tackled), scoring, or going out of bounds. By rule, it is any act other than passing, kicking, punting, or successful handing that results in loss of ball possession by a player. Unlike other events which cause the ball to become loose, such as an incomplete pass, a fumbled ball is considered a live ball, and may be recovered and advanced by any member of either team. Gustavo David Miguel Diaz-Infante (born March 31, 1964) is an American former professional football guard and center and current head coach of the Bellarmine College Preparatory Bells. He formerly served as an assistant offensive line coach for the Los Angeles Chargers of the National Football League (NFL). In the NFL he played for the San Diego Chargers, Denver Broncos, and the Philadelphia Eagles. Diaz-Infante also played in the World League of American Football (WLAF) for the Frankfurt Galaxy, in the Canadian Football League (CFL) for the Sacramento Gold Miners and in the XFL with the Las Vegas Outlaws. Diaz-Infante played college football at San Jose State University. Inducted into SJSU Sports Hall of Fame, and Bellarmine College Prep Hall of Fame. Kurt Keola Gouveia (born September 14, 1964) is an American football coach and former linebacker who played 13 seasons in the National Football League (NFL) and one season in the XFL. During his career, he played for the Washington Redskins (1986–1994; 1999), the Philadelphia Eagles (1995), and the San Diego Chargers (1996–1998). In 2001, he also played for the Las Vegas Outlaws in the now-defunct XFL.
