Tonka Hemingway
Terrell H. "Tonka" Hemingway (born October 31, 2001) is an American professional football defensive tackle for the Las Vegas Raiders of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the South Carolina Gamecocks and was selected by the Raiders in the fourth round of the 2025 NFL draft. Early life and high school Hemingway was born on October 31, 2001 in Conway, South Carolina. He attended Conway High School, where he lettered in football, basketball and baseball. As a senior, he notched 92 tackles with 24 being for a loss. Coming out of high school, Hemingway committed to play college football for the South Carolina Gamecocks. College career During the 2020 season, Hemingway tallied 16 tackles with one being for a loss, two pass deflections, and a forced fumble. Defensive Tackle
A defensive tackle (DT) is a position in American football that typically lines up on the line of scrimmage, opposite one of the Guard (American football), offensive guards; however, he may also line up opposite one of the offensive Tackle (gridiron football position), tackles. Defensive tackles are typically the largest and strongest of the defensive players. Depending on a team's defensive scheme, a defensive tackle may be called upon to fill several different roles. These may include merely holding the point of attack by refusing to be moved, or penetrating a certain gap between offensive linemen to break up a play in the opponent's backfield. If a defensive tackle reads a pass play, his primary responsibility is to pursue the quarterback, or simply knock the pass down at the line if it is within arm's reach. Junior Hemingway
Kenneth Earl "Junior" Hemingway Jr. (born December 27, 1988) is an American former professional football wide receiver. He was selected by the Kansas City Chiefs in the 2012 NFL draft. He completed his redshirt senior season in 2011 for the Michigan Wolverines football team. He led the 2011 team in receptions and receiving yards, and was tied for the lead in receiving touchdowns. Hemingway was the 2010 and 2011 Big Ten Conference leader in yards per reception, ranking third in all of Division I Football Bowl Subdivision as a senior. He received 2011 All-Big Ten honorable mention and was the 2012 Sugar Bowl Most Outstanding Player.
