Toni Sant
Toni Sant (born 1968) is a Maltese academic and former radio and television presenter, producer and music journalist. He is Director of Digital Media & Film Production at Salford University and was formerly Reader in Digital Curation at the University of Hull's School of Arts & New Media on the Scarborough campus, England. Sant has a B.A. in Theatre Studies from the University of Malta and an M.A. and Ph.D. in Performance Studies from New York University. His publications include the book ''Franklin Furnace & the Spirit of the Avant-Garde: A History of the Future '' (2011, Intellect, ) about the Franklin Furnace Archive arts organisation in New York. Saint James Cavalier ( mt, Kavallier ta' San Ġakbu) is a 16th-century cavalier in Valletta, Malta, which was built by the Order of St John. It overlooks St James' Bastion, a large obtuse-angled bastion forming part of the Valletta Land Front. St James was one of nine planned cavaliers in the city, although eventually only two were built, the other one being the identical Saint John's Cavalier. It was designed by the Italian military engineer Francesco Laparelli, while its construction was overseen by his Maltese assistant Girolamo Cassar. St James Cavalier never saw use in any military conflict, but it played a role during the Rising of the Priests in 1775. The cavalier is located in Castille Square, close to Auberge de Castille, the Central Bank of Malta, the Parliament House, the Malta Stock Exchange and the post office at Dar Annona. Wikimedia UK (WMUK) is a registered charity established to support volunteers in the United Kingdom who work on Wikimedia projects such as Wikipedia. As such, it is a Wikimedia chapter approved by the Wikimedia Foundation, which owns and hosts those projects. Wikimedia UK started out as Wiki Educational Resources Limited, but due to financial difficulties and other problems the organisation dissolved and was replaced by Wiki UK Limited.
