Toni Moore
Toni Moore is a trade unionist and politician from Barbados. Moore has served as general secretary of the Barbados Workers' Union since 2014. 2020 St George North By-election
A by-election was held in the Barbadian constituency of St George North on 11 November 2020 following the resignation of incumbent BLP Member of Parliament Gline Clarke, who had represented the constituency for the prior twenty-six years, to accept the post of Barbados High Commissioner to Canada. It was the first election to take place since Prime Minister Mia Mottley's governing Barbados Labour Party won all seats in the House of Assembly in the 2018 Barbadian general election. Barbados, officially the Republic of Barbados, is an island country in the Atlantic Ocean. It is part of the Lesser Antilles of the West Indies and the easternmost island of the Caribbean region. An independent politician or non-affiliated politician is a politician not affiliated with any political party or bureaucratic association. Some politicians have political views that do not align with the platforms of any political party and therefore they choose not to affiliate with them.
