Tongham Football Club is a football club based in Tongham, near Farnham, Surrey, England. They play at the Recreation Ground, Poyle Road. Team Age Groups from U10 - Men's 1st, Reserves & Vets teams. History Established in 1922 and played in the Surrey County Intermediate League (Western). During their early days the club played Hawley Youth Club on 3 November 1969 and this game entered the 2003 Guinness Book of Records, for the most number of booked players, as all 22 players and a linesman were booked. The club joined the Combined Counties Football League Division One for the start of the 2005–06 campaign. At the end of the 2007–08 season the club resigned from the Combined Counties League to join the newly formed Surrey Elite Intermediate League. Tongham
Tongham is a village northeast of the town of Farnham in Surrey, England. The village's buildings occupy most of the west of the civil parish, adjoining the A31 and the A331. The boundaries take in Poyle Park in the east and the replacement to Runfold's manor house in the west. Tongham is located on the north side of the Hog's Back, the narrowest part of the North Downs. The largest independent brewery in Surrey, the Hogs Back Brewery, takes its name from this eminence as does the Hog's Back Hotel. Tongham was the home of the Aldershot Stadium from 1950 to 1992. Farnham
Farnham (Help:IPA/English, /ˈfɑːnəm/) is a market town and civil parish in Surrey, England, around southwest of London. It is in the Borough of Waverley, close to the administrative counties of England, county border with Hampshire. The town is on the north branch of the River Wey, a tributary of the River Thames, Thames, and is at the western end of the North Downs. The Surrey County Intermediate League (Western) is one of the three intermediate football leagues which has most of its teams in the English county of Surrey and is the smaller of the two feeder leagues to the Surrey Elite Intermediate League. The Surrey Premier County Football League is a regional English football league for teams in South-West London, Surrey and neighbouring areas. It was founded in 2008.
