Tondiraba Ice Hall
The Tondiraba Ice Hall (), also known as Tallinn Arena, is a multi-purpose indoor arena complex in Tallinn, Estonia. It was opened on 1 August 2014 and is owned by the City of Tallinn. It has a current capacity of 7,700 spectators. It can host among other things basketball games, ice hockey games, curling and concerts. History Tondiraba Ice Rink was opened in August 2014 as the first large building of the Tondiraba Sports Complex. It has a main arena, two practice rinks and a curling rink. The main arena can be used for sports including figure skating, ice hockey, short track speed skating, volleyball, handball, gymnastics and also concerts. Short-track speed skating is a form of competitive ice skating, ice speed skating. In competitions, multiple skaters (typically between four and six) skate on an oval ice track with a length of . The rink itself is long by wide, which is the same size as an Olympic-sized figure skating rink and an international-sized ice hockey rink. The 2019 IIHF World Championship Division I was an international ice hockey tournament run by the International Ice Hockey Federation. The Group A tournament was held in Nur-Sultan, Kazakhstan from 29 April to 5 May 2019 and the Group B tournament in Tallinn, Estonia from 28 April to 4 May 2019. Belarus and Kazakhstan gained promotion to the top division, while Romania was promoted to Group A next year. IIHF World Championships
The Ice Hockey World Championships are an annual international men's ice hockey tournament organized by the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF), first officially held at the 1920 Summer Olympics. The IIHF was created in 1908 while the European Championships, the precursor to the World Championships, were first held in 1910. The tournament held at the 1920 Summer Olympics is recognized as the first Ice Hockey World Championship. From 1920 to 1968, the Olympic hockey tournament was also considered the World Championship for that year. The first World Championship that was held as an individual event was in 1930 in which twelve nations participated. In 1931, ten teams played a series of round-robin format qualifying rounds to determine which nations participated in the medal round. The 2024 FIBA Men's Pre-Qualifying Olympic Qualifying Tournaments in Europe was one of five 2024 FIBA Men's Pre-Qualifying Olympic Qualifying Tournaments. The tournament was held from 12 to 20 August 2023. Two tournaments were held, with the winning team of each tournament qualifying for the 2024 FIBA Men's Olympic Qualifying Tournaments. Gliwice, Poland and Tallinn, Estonia hosted the first tournament and Istanbul, Turkey hosted the second one. 2022 European Figure Skating Championships
The 2022 European Figure Skating Championships were held from 10 to 16 January 2022 at the Tondiraba Ice Hall in Tallinn, Estonia. Medals were awarded in men's singles, women's singles, pair skating, and ice dance. The competition determined the entry quotas for each federation at the 2023 European Championships. Tallinn was announced as the host in June 2019. The city had previously hosted the competition in 2010. The 2018 Le Gruyère AOP European Curling Championships were held from November 16 to 24 in Tallinn, Estonia. The C Division competitions were held in April in Copenhagen, Denmark. The top seven men's teams will qualify for the 2019 World Men's Curling Championship. Rauman Lukko (Finnish for "lock") is a Finnish sports club based in Rauma, Finland, Rauma, Finland, best known for its men's professional ice hockey team. The Liiga, colloquially called the Finnish Elite League in English or FM-ligan in Swedish, is the top professional ice hockey league in Finland. The league comprises 16 teams from all around Finland with relegation and promotion between the Mestis. The winner of the Liiga playoffs is awarded the Kanada-malja at the end of each season.
