Joan Tomàs Campasol (born 17 May 1985), known as Joan Tomàs, is a Spanish former professional footballer. Mainly a left-winger, he could also operate as a striker. Club career Born in Girona, Catalonia, Joan Tomàs was an unsuccessful graduate from Espanyol's youth ranks, after which he moved to neighbours Lleida in the Segunda División B. After one season with Alicante in the same tier, which ended in promotion, he joined Villarreal. Even though already 23, Joan Tomàs spent over a year registered with the B side, and made his first-team – and La Liga – debut on 1 February 2009, in a 3–0 away loss against Deportivo de La Coruña. During the 2008–09 campaign, also, he was one of the most important elements for the reserves as they eventually achieved a first-ever promotion to Segunda División. Tomàs Caylà i Grau (1895-1936) was a Spaniards, Spanish publisher and a Carlist politician. Family and youth Tomàs d'Aquino Caylà i Grau was descendant to a well-off Catalan family. His grandfather, Tomás Caylá y Sardá (1810-1888), was member of the emerging Tarragona bourgeoisie. He fought for the liberal side against the Carlists in the First Carlist War (1833-1840) and was then mayor of Reus and a friend of General Prim. His father, Josep Caylà i Miracle (1856-1919), studied law in University of Barcelona; following 1881 graduation he settled in Valls, the capital of Alt Camp, Alt Camp county in the Tarragona province. He became secretary and then co-owner of the newly created Banc de Valls, growing to its director in 1914; he was also administrator of rural holdings belonging to the local Vaciana and Miguel families. Tomàs Molina i Bosch (born September 26, 1963) is a Catalan meteorologist and TV presenter. He's been working as the Televisió de Catalunya weather broadcaster for over 30 years and has directed its meteorological department since 1987. He's been described as "Catalonia's most beloved weather man". Education and career First, he studied Physical Sciences at the University of Barcelona, specializing in geoscience and cosmology, and then he got a doctorate in Communication. Joan Tomàs Roca (born 17 February 1951) is an Andorran trap shooter who competed in five Summer Olympics spanning 36 years. Tomàs started practicing shooting in 1971 and two years later he started to compete in events. Tomàs was 25 years old when he made his first appearance in the Olympics, when he competed in the mixed trap event at the 1976 Summer Olympics in Montreal, where he scored 162 points and finished in 33rd place. At the 1980 Summer Olympics and the 1984 Summer Olympics he had his best finishes when he finished in 26th place at both Games, it was 16 years before Tomàs returned to the Olympic scene, when he competed in the trap event at the 2000 Summer Olympics, he went on to finish in 39th place out of 41 shooters, his final Olympic appearance was at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London when aged 61 years old again he competed in the trap event, he finished in 33rd place out of 34 shooters.
