Tommy Dunne
Tomás Dunne (born 21 May 1974) is an Irish hurling coach and former player who is from Toomevara, County Tipperary in Ireland. He is the current coach of the Tipperary senior hurling team. Dunne enjoyed a distinguished playing career with Toomevara GAA club and at inter-county level with Tipperary. He was a midfielder on the latter team from 1993 until 2005 and collected one All-Ireland title as captain, two Munster titles, three National Hurling League titles and three All-Star awards. Immediately after retiring from inter-county and club activity, Dunne became involved in team management. He was a selector on the Tipperary minor team that captured the All-Ireland title in that grade in 2007. Dunne later served as coach, under the management of Ken Hogan, to the Tipperary under-21 team that captured the All-Ireland title in 2010. The Munster GAA Hurling Minor Championship (known for sponsorship reasons as the Electric Ireland Munster GAA Hurling Minor Championship) is an annual Inter county, inter-county hurling competition organised by the Munster GAA, Munster Council of the Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA). It is the highest inter-county hurling competition for male players under the age of 17 in the province of Munster, and has been contested every year since the 1928 All-Ireland Minor Hurling Championship#Munster Minor Hurling Championship, 1928 championship. Ballyhale Shamrocks is a Gaelic games club located in the parish of Ballyhale in County Kilkenny, Ireland. It is a member of the Kilkenny branch of the Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA). Founded in 1972, the club was a amalgamation of three teams Ballyhale, Knocktopher and Knockmoylan. The Shamrocks are the most successful club in the history of the All-Ireland Senior Club Hurling Championship, having won the title on nine occasions. Hurling History Beginnings Gaelic Games had been played in the parish of Ballyhale long before the Shamrocks club was established. By the early 1970s there were two competing clubs in existence in the parish, Ballyhale and Knocktopher, however, they were both facing extinction. St. Mary's, Athenry is a Gaelic Athletic Association club located in Athenry in County Galway, Ireland. In men's competitions, the club is a dual club competing in both Gaelic football and hurling at various age levels. Mount Sion () is a Gaelic Athletic Association club located in Waterford City, County Waterford, Republic of Ireland, Ireland. It was founded by teachers in the school of the same name. Although technically separate from the school, the club still maintains a close relationship with the school, sharing the same sports facilities in the city. The club fields teams in both the Waterford GAA, Waterford Hurling and Gaelic football championships and has had many famous players, including Eoin Daniels (hurler), John Keane, Philly Grimes, Tony Browne and Ken McGrath. Kilmallock GAA
Kilmallock GAA is a Gaelic Athletic Association club in Kilmallock, County Limerick, Ireland. The club is primarily concerned with the game of hurling, but has also fielded teams in Gaelic football. History Located in the town of Kilmallock, about 20 miles outside Limerick, Kilmallock GAA Club was founded in 1885. Kilmallock's earliest successes where in Gaelic football, with the club claiming Limerick SFC titles in 1908, 1909 and 1916. Kilmallock made the hurling breakthrough in 1956 when they won the Limerick JHC title and earned promotion to the senior grade. Four years after that initial junior triumph, Kilmallock won the Limerick SHC title after a defeat of Claughaun in 1960.
