Tomislav Rakić
Tomislav Rakić (; born 11 November 1934) is a Serbian chess International Master (IM, 1978). He is European Team Chess Championship silver medalist (1957). Biography According to the retrospective system Chessmetrics, Tomislav Rakić was the highest ranked in 1969 and 1970, then he was ranked 96th in the world. FIDE Titles
FIDE titles are awarded by the international chess governing body FIDE (''Fédération Internationale des Échecs'') for outstanding performance. The highest such title is Grandmaster (GM). Chessmetrics
Chessmetrics is a system for rating chess players devised by Jeff Sonas. It is intended as an improvement over the Elo and Edo rating systems. Implementation Chessmetrics is a weighted average of past performance. The score considers a player's win percentage against other players weighted by the ratings of the other players and the time elapsed since the match. A 10% increase in performance is equivalent to an increase of 85 rating points. The weighting of previous matches digresses linearly from 100% for just-finished matches to zero for matches conducted more than two years ago.
