Beit She'an ( '), also known as Beisan ( '), or Beth-shean, is a town in the Northern District (Israel), Northern District of Israel. The town lies at the Beit She'an Valley about 120 m (394 feet) below sea level. Beit She'an is believed to be one of the oldest cities in the region. The 2010–11 Toto Cup Al was the twenty-nine season of the third most important Association football, football tournament in Israel since its introduction and seventh under the current format. It was held in two stages. First, sixteen 2010–11 Israeli Premier League, Premier League teams were divided into four groups. The winners and runners-up, were advanced to the Quarterfinals. Hapoel (, ) is an Israeli Jewish sports association established in 1926 by the Histadrut Labor Federation. History During the British Mandate of Palestine period Hapoel had a bitter rivalry with Maccabi and organized its own competitions, with the exception of football, the only sport in which all the organizations played each other. At the time, Hapoel took no part in the ''Eretz Israel Olympic Committee'', which was controlled by Maccabi, and instead sought for international ties with similar workers sports organizations of socialist parties. The 2009–10 Liga Leumit was the 11th season since it became the second-tier in 1999 and the 68th season of second-tier football in Israel. It began on 21 August 2009 and ended on 15 May 2010. Changes from 2008–09 season Structure changes League size has been increased from twelve to sixteen teams for this season, teams will thus play a home-and-away Round-robin tournament, round-robin schedule for a total of 30 matches. After the conclusion of this "regular season", teams will be split up into three playoff groups according to their league position.
