Larry Tomczak is a Christian evangelist and author. He co-founded People of Destiny International, a network of churches, and was editor of ''People of Destiny magazine''. Tomczak is the author of several books, most prominently ''Clap Your Hands!'', an autobiography. Early life Tomczak was born into a Roman Catholic family in Ohio, and in his youth was part of a local rock band. Tomczak was involved in the charismatic renewal of the 1970s, as described in his book ''Clap Your Hands!'' Together with C.J. Mahaney, Tomczak co-founded the Covenant Life Church, which would later become known as the Sovereign Grace Churches. Tomczak eventually left the ministry in 1998, at the time citing theological differences. Michael John Tomczak (born October 23, 1962) is an American former professional football player who was a quarterback in National Football League (NFL) from 1985 through 1999. He played college football for the Ohio State Buckeyes. He played in the NFL for the Chicago Bears, Green Bay Packers, Cleveland Browns, and Pittsburgh Steelers. Tomczak was the offensive coordinator for the Pittsburgh Power of the Arena Football League (AFL) until 2014 when they ceased operations. Jacek Tomczak (born 5 March 1990) is a Polish chess Grandmaster (2012). Chess career Tomczak became interested in chess at the age of six. He won medals in the Polish Junior Chess Championship in different age categories. In 2006 Tomczak won World Youth Chess Championship (U16) in Batumi (Georgia). In 2007 he made his debut in the Polish Chess Championship final in Opole where he took 12th place. Tomczak has also competed successfully in several Polish Team Chess Championships (individual gold and team bronze in 2014, individual bronze in 2011). Witold Stanisław Tomczak (5 April 1957 – 11 March 2025) was a Polish far-right politician who was a member of the European Parliament from 2004 to 2009. Before his political career, Tomczak worked as a physician. He graduated from the Medical University of Silesia in Katowice in 1987 and specialized in general medicine. He practiced as a family physician in Łęka Opatowska near Kalisz, where he was a local councilman from 1990 through 1998. From 1997 to 2001, he was a Sejm member for the conservative party Christian-National Union (ZChN), which at that time was part of the Solidarity Electoral Action party (AWS). Kazimierz Tomczak (1883–1967) was a 20th-century Polish bishop theologian and teacher, interned by the Nazi forces during World War II. He was born on 17 February 1883 in Besiekierzu and studied at the Jesuit School in Chyrów, where he graduated from high school. He studied also at the Saint Petersburg Roman Catholic Theological Academy, in Paris, and in Freiburg, and was ordained a priest on 7 January 1907. For 16 years he worked as a professor at the , where he taught moral theology, the history of philosophy, archaeology, Christian liturgy and literature. In 1936, he was one of the founders of the Society of Friends of Science in Łódź.
