Tomasz Skweres
Tomasz Skweres (born 3 April 1984 in Warsaw) is a Polish composer who lives and works in Vienna. Biography 200px Tomasz Skweres was born in Warsaw, Poland. In 1997 he moved to Austria, where he studied composition at the University of Music and Performing Arts, Vienna with Chaya Czernowin and Detlev Müller-Siemens. Skweres also studied cello with Valentin Erben at the same university. He composed a number of chamber music works, orchestral compositions and works for choir. His music has been performed at Wiener Musikverein, Konzerthaus in Vienna, Gasteig in Munich, Trafo House of Contemporary Arts in Budapest, Lviv Philharmony (Ukraine), Cantacuzino palace in Bukarest (''Meridian Festival''), Teatro Universitario de la BUAP in Puebla (Mexico), Guangzhou Concert Hall (China), Teatro da Reitoria in Curiciba (''Bienal Música Hoje'' (Brasil)), ''Nørre Vosborg Chamber Music Festival'' (Denmark) as well as in Japan, Taiwan, Argentina and Australia. GENUIN is an independent classical music label and remote classical music recording studio based in Leipzig, Germany. The term “genuin” comes from Latin and stands for “innate, authentic, not counterfeit.” History The company was founded in Detmold, Germany in 1998 as "GENUIN Musikproduktion" by sound engineers Holger Busse and Alfredo Lasheras Hakobian. Five years later, in January 2003, the "GENUIN" classical music label began distributing CDs throughout Germany, with most releases produced by its own recording engineers. In 2005, the company moved from Detmold to Leipzig as a result of which a fruitful collaboration with German broadcaster MDR and the famed Leipzig Gewandhaus resulted. The International Society for Contemporary Music (ISCM) is a music organization that promotes contemporary classical music. Bern Theatre, known in the city as Stadttheater Bern, is an opera house and theatre in Bern, Switzerland. The theatre opened in 1903 and was modernised between 2015–2016 with significant structural changes made to the backstage and auditorium.
