Tom Perry (politician)
Tom Perry is a former Canadian politician. He served as an MLA in the Legislative Assembly of British Columbia from 1986 to 1996, as a member of the British Columbia New Democratic Party. He qualified as a doctor. Perry was first elected to the Legislative Assembly in a by-election in Vancouver-Point Grey in 1989, after Kim Campbell resigned from the legislature to run in the 1988 federal election. At the time, Vancouver-Point Grey was a multiple-member district, and Perry served alongside Darlene Marzari. In the 1991 election, which was contested under new single-member boundaries, Marzari was the NDP candidate in Vancouver-Point Grey, while Perry stood in Vancouver-Little Mountain, where he was re-elected. He was the minister for advanced education, training and technology from 1991 to 1993. Tom Perry (footballer)
Thomas Henry Perry (12 August 1871 – 18 July 1927) was an English international footballer, who played as a right half. Early and personal life Perry was born in West Bromwich on 12 August 1871, the fifth of nine children. He was one of five brothers to play football, including older brother Charlie. He worked as a spring balance maker and was married with four daughters. Career Perry played locally for Christ Church School, Christ Church, West Bromwich Baptists and Stourbridge, and professionally for West Bromwich Albion and Aston Villa. He was transferred to Aston Villa for £50 for the 1901–02 season. He retired due to injury in 1903. With West Brom he was a runner-up in the 1894–95 FA Cup. Lee Tom Perry
Lee Tom Perry (born April 29, 1951) is a business professor, Latter-day Saint church leader, and hymnwriter. He is the son of L. Tom Perry, who was a member of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church) from 1974 until his death in 2015. As a young man, Perry served an LDS Church mission in the Japan West Mission. He was associate dean of the Marriott School of Management at Brigham Young University (BYU) from 1998 to 2005. From 1991 to 1994, he served as president of the BYU 3rd Stake. From 2005 to 2008, Perry was president of the California Roseville Mission, and from 2010 to 2014 he was a member of the general board of the LDS Church's Sunday School. Perry wrote the words to "As Now We Take The Sacrament", which is hymn number 169 in the 1985 English LDS Church hymnal. Thomas Richardson Perry (born August 29, 1980) is an American football coach and former player. He is currently the special teams coordinator at Colorado State University. He has also coordinated special teams at Texas A&M University-Commerce, the University of South Alabama, the University of Nevada, Reno, and the University of Texas at San Antonio. Coaching career 2004–2008 Following Perry's playing career, he served as an assistant strength and conditioning coach at Texas in 2004. During that time, he also served as an academic advisor for the program. The following season, Perry joined the staff at Texas A&M-Commerce as the special teams coordinator and running backs coach.
