Tom Hickox
Tom Hickox is a British singer-songwriter and music composer. He is the son of Richard Hickox and Frances Sheldon-Williams. A solo artist, he has released three studio albums: ''War, Peace and Diplomacy'', ''Monsters in the Deep'', and ''The Orchestra of Stories''. In 2020 he was commissioned by the BBC to write a piece, ''No Human is an Island'', for their Culture in Quarantine programme in collaboration with The Chineke! Orchestra. ''War, Peace and Diplomacy'' War, Peace and Diplomacy was released on March 10, 2014 on Fierce Panda Records, and Hickox became the first artist from that label to appear on British music TV programme '' Later... with Jools Holland''. The album was recorded at Yellow Arch Studios in Sheffield, and co-produced by Hickox and Colin Elliot. It features a slide guitar solo on "Out of the Warzone" by Richard Hawley. Richard Hickox
Richard Sidney Hickox (5 March 1948 – 23 November 2008) was an English conductor of choral, orchestral and operatic music. Early life and education Hickox was born in Stokenchurch in Buckinghamshire into a musical family. After attending the Royal Grammar School, High Wycombe from 1959 to 1966, he studied at the Royal Academy of Music in London from 1966 to 1967, then was an organ scholar at Queens' College, Cambridge, from 1967 to 1970. Career In 1967, while his father was Vicar of Wooburn, Buckinghamshire, Hickox founded the Wooburn Festival and eventually became its president. The Festival still takes place and features music, drama and the visual arts. Hickox also founded the Wooburn Singers and continued as conductor until succeeded by Stephen Jackson. From 1970 to 1971 Hickox was Director of Music at Maidenhead Grammar School (later Desborough School). Terry Britten
Terence Ernest Britten (born 17 July 1947) is an English-Australian singer-songwriter and record producer, who has written songs for Tina Turner, Cliff Richard, Olivia Newton-John, Status Quo (band), Status Quo and Michael Jackson amongst many others. Britten (along with co-writer Graham Lyle) won the Grammy Award for Song of the Year in 1985 for "What's Love Got to Do with It (song), What's Love Got to Do with It". The BFI London Film Festival is an annual film festival held in London, England, in collaboration with the British Film Institute. Founded in 1957, the festival runs for two weeks every October.
