Tom Frager
Tom Frager (born 1 July 1977 in Dakar, Senegal) is a French songwriter and performer in the group Gwayav' and is ten times a surfer winner in Guadeloupe. He is primarily known for his French hit " Lady Melody", which was number-one for four weeks. Biography Born in Senegal, Tom Frager grew up in Guadeloupe where he became the most successful local surfer of his generation. He moved to metropolitan France in 2000 and lived in Bordeaux. He joined the team of France and, with his guitar, wrote songs during his travels around the world for competitions. Tom Frager mixed pop, rock, reggae, ska and jazz with original melodies and broken rhythm. Lady Melody (song)
"Lady Melody" is a 2009 song recorded by French singer-songwriter Tom Frager with his group Gwayav'. It is his debut single from his 2008 album ''Better Days''. The promotional CD was sent to the radio in the first days of August and was much aired on radio, becoming a summer hit, then was released physically in early September 2009. The song achieved success in France where it reached number-one, both on the singles and digital charts, respectively for four and two weeks. On the physical chart, it remained for 17 weeks in the top ten and 34 weeks in the top 100. However, the song was a relative failure in Belgium and Switzerland. According to Frager, the song was aired on radio before he found a label for the album. He thought the song would be popular, but he did not expect such success. Seydou Koné (; born January 1, 1953 in Dimbokro), better known by his stage name Alpha Blondy, is an Ivorian reggae singer and international recording artist. Many of his songs are politically and socially motivated, and are mainly sung in his native language Dyula, French and English, though he occasionally uses other languages, for example, Arabic or Hebrew. Early years Childhood The first son of a family of eight children, Seydou Koné was raised by his grandmother in an environment described by him as "among elders", which was to have a big impact on his career. Ultratop is an organization which generates and publishes the official record charts in Belgium. Ultratop is a non-profit organization, created on the initiative of the Belgian Entertainment Association (BEA), the Belgian member organization of the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry. Two parallel sets of charts are concurrently produced and published, one on behalf of Belgium's mainly Dutch-speaking Flanders region, and the other catering to the nation's mainly French-speaking region of Wallonia.
