Thomas Fitzpatrick (Australian Politician)
Thomas Fitzpatrick (10 June 1835 – 29 February 1920) was an Irish-born Australian politician. He was born at Montrath in Queen's County, the son of Jeremiah Fitzpatrick and Mary Delany. He grew up on his parents' farm and in 1857 at the age of twenty-one migrated to Melbourne, soon moving on to the Riverina. In 1868 he became manager of a station at Temora. He married Ellen Sproule in 1869; they had four children. Around 1870 Fitzpatrick bought his own land near Junee, building up an extensive property known as Erinvale Estate. In 1894 he was elected to the New South Wales Legislative Assembly as the Protectionist member for Murrumbidgee. He served until his defeat in 1904. Thomas Fitzpatrick (academic)
Thomas Cecil Fitzpatrick (27 August 1861 – 28 October 1931) was the President of Queens' College, Cambridge, from 1906 until his death and Vice-Chancellor of Cambridge University in 1915–17 and 1928–29. Fitzpatrick was the youngest son of the Rev. R. W. Fitzpatrick, Vicar of Holy Trinity, Bedford. He was educated at Bedford School and Christ's College, Cambridge. He went to Christ's on a scholarship and came top of the Natural Sciences Tripos examinations in 1883 and 1885. Having been elected as a Fellow of Christ's, he became Dean of the college in 1890. He served as one of Sir J.J. Thomson's demonstrators at the Cavendish Laboratory for many years. He also served as the Examining Chaplain to the Bishop of Salisbury, John Wordsworth between 1895 and 1911. Tommy Fitzpatrick is an American artist. He is known for his work depicting urban architectural forms in his paintings. Fitzpatrick is also an associate professor at Texas State University in San Marcos. Early life and education Fitzpatrick was born in 1969 in Dallas, Texas. In 1991 he graduated from the University of Texas at Austin. After his BA he received an MFA from Yale University in 1993. Clarence Thomas (born June 23, 1948) is an American jurist who serves as an associate justice of the Supreme Court of the United States. He was nominated by President George H. W. Bush to succeed Thurgood Marshall and has served since 1991. After Marshall, Thomas is the second African American to serve on the Court and its longest-serving member since Anthony Kennedy's retirement in 2018. Thomas was born in Pin Point, Georgia. After his father abandoned the family, he was raised by his grandfather in a poor Gullah community near Savannah. Thomas Henry Fitzpatrick (died 1866) was, along with Robert Clark, one of the first two British Church Missionary Society (CMS) missionaries to the Punjab. Biography He was educated in Law at Gray's Inn, but was converted to Christ when about to be called to the bar. He took a theological degree from Trinity College, Dublin, and became Curate at Bishop Ryder Church, Birmingham. When the Punjab was opened for CMS Mission activities, he was sent as CMS missionary with Robert Clark to begin a mission in Punjab. He married Anna Longridge Gooch, first wife, on 14 April 1851. On 1 July 1851, he sailed along with his wife and Robert Clark to India, and reached Kolkata(present Calcutta) on 13 October 1851. They moved from Calcutta to Punjab and were involved in missionary activities, including printing dictionaries, grammars, and starting schools. Thomas Fitzpatrick (27 March 1860 – 16 July 1912), pen name Fitz, was an Irish political cartoonist. Fitzpatrick was born in Cork. He contributed to the satirical magazine ''Pat'' (published from 1881-1883), the '' Weekly Freeman'', the ''Irish Figaro'', the ''Irish Emerald'', the '' Weekly Nation'', ''Punch'' and the ''New York Gaelic American'', and was for a time chief cartoonist of the ''National Press''. In 1905 he launched his own satirical magazine, '' The Lepracaun'', which he edited and drew most of the cartoons and illustrations for until his health began to fail in 1911.
