Tom Delnicki
Thomas A. Delnicki commonly known as Tom Delnicki (born September 7, 1956) is an American politician who has served in the Connecticut House of Representatives from the 14th district since 2017. Delnicki is a Republican. Early life and education Delnicki was born September 7, 1956, in South Windsor, Connecticut. He grew-up on the family farm which was owned in the fourth generation. He graduated from South Windsor High School in 1974 and earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Connecticut. He is of Lithuanian descent (original spelling was ''Delnickas'') on his father's side. Career He retired from the Metropolitan District as a Facilities/Maintenance Supervisor. Politics Delnicki served on the South Windsor Town Council from 1995 to 2007 and again from 2009. The Connecticut House of Representatives is the lower house in the Connecticut General Assembly, the state legislature of the U.S. state of Connecticut. The house is composed of 151 members representing an equal number of districts, with each constituency containing nearly 22,600 residents. South Windsor is a town in Hartford County, Connecticut, United States. The town is part of the Capitol Planning Region, Connecticut, Capitol Planning Region. The population was 26,918 at the 2020 United States census, 2020 census. History In 1659, Thomas Burnham (1617–1688) purchased the tract of land now covered by the towns of South Windsor and East Hartford, Connecticut, East Hartford from Tantinomo, chief sachem of the Podunk people, Podunk Indians. Burnham lived on the land and later willed it to his nine children. South Windsor High School
South Windsor High School is located in South Windsor, Connecticut. It currently serves grades 9-12 with approximately 1,364 students and a 13:1 student-teacher ratio. It is the only high school in South Windsor, but also admits students from Hartford through the Open Choice Program.
