Tom Coles
Thomas Antony Coles is a Reform Jersey politician who has served as Deputy for St Helier South since 2022. Coles was born in Jersey in the early 1980s, and attended Grainville School and Highlands College. He first stood for election in 2018 as the Reform candidate for deputy of St Saviour No. 3, but was unsuccessful. He stood for election again in 2022 as deputy for St Helier South, this time winning with a majority of 122 votes. Sam Mézec
Samuel Yves Mézec (born 26 December 1990) is a Jersey politician who is the leader of Reform Jersey. He has been a member of the States Assembly since 2014, serving as both a Deputy and later as a Senator. Political career Mézec was elected as the Deputy for the St. Helier No. 2 district after winning that seat in a by-election on 5 March 2014. He held the seat in the general election held later that year on 15 October. He co-founded and, until June 2019, was the Chairman of Reform Jersey, one of the island's political parties. He stood in the Senatorial by-election held on 7 September 2016 but came second to Sarah Ferguson. Beatriz Porée
Beatriz Borges de Sousa Vaz Moreno Porée is a Jersey politician who has served as Deputy for St Helier South since 2022. Porée was born in Angola, but was raised in Portugal after becoming a child refugee in the Angolan Civil War. David Warr
David James Warr is a Jersey politician and business owner who has served as Deputy for St Helier South since 2022 and Minister for Housing and Communities from 2022 to January 2024. He is also the owner of Cooper & Co., a local coffee shop business. Political career Warr stood for election as deputy of St Helier South in the 2022 general election under the Better Way banner. Warr was elected with a majority of 25 votes, the smallest of any successful candidates in the election. Warr supported Kristina Moore in the 2022 Chief Minister of Jersey election, and was subsequently appointed Minister for Housing and Communities in the Moore ministry. St Helier
St Helier (; Jèrriais: ; ) is the Capital city, capital of Jersey, the largest of the Channel Islands in the English Channel. Reform Jersey
Reform Jersey is a centre-left social democracy, social-democratic political party in Jersey. In all general elections since 2014, Reform has won the most seats of any party in the States Assembly. Grainville School
Grainville School or, more simply known as Grainville, is a non fee-paying state-owned secondary school in the parish of St Saviour in Jersey. The school was opened in 1980. Highlands College (Jèrriais: Lé Collège d's Hautes Tèrres) is a further and higher college in Jersey in the Channel Islands. It has 860 full-time and over 4,000 part-time and adult students. 2018 Jersey General Election
General elections were held in Jersey on 16 May 2018 to elect the 49 members of the States Assembly. 2022 Jersey General Election
The 2022 Jersey general election was held on 22 June 2022 to elect connétables and deputies to the States Assembly. As in previous elections, the majority of seats were won by independents. The governing Jersey Alliance party suffered a heavy defeat, losing all but one of its seats. Following the election, a coalition government led by Better Way Deputy Kristina Moore was formed. Independent politicians won 32 of the 49 seats in the Assembly. Reform Jersey won 10 seats, primarily in the new St Helier constituencies, the largest win in the party's history.
