Tom Canada
Tom Canada (born January 8, 1980) is a former Canadian football defensive end. High School years Canada attended Mt. Whitney High School in Visalia, California, and as a senior middle linebacker, received All-League honors and was named the West Yosemite League Player of the Year. He played college football at the University of California at Berkeley. Blue Bombers Canada joined the Winnipeg Blue Bombers of the CFL in 2004, and started all 18 games of the year for them. His play earned him the club’s Most Outstanding Rookie Award, and he was named a West Division All-Star. He continued his good play in the 2005 CFL season and the 2006 CFL season, once again starting all 18 games. In the 2007 CFL season his stellar play continued with the Bombers and was named a West Division All-Star for the second time in his career. California Golden Bears Football
The California Golden Bears football program represents the University of California, Berkeley in college football as a member of the Pac-12 Conference at the NCAA Division I FBS level. The team plays its home games at California Memorial Stadium and is coached by Justin Wilcox. Since beginning of play in 1886, the team has won five NCAA recognized national titles - 1920, 1921, 1922, 1923, and 1937 and 14 conference championships, the last one in 2006. 2008 CFL Season
The 2008 CFL season was the 55th season of modern-day Canadian football, the 51st season for the Canadian Football League. It was also the first CFL season in which all of the league's regular season and post-season games, including the Grey Cup game, were aired on TSN. This meant the CFL was no longer aired on broadcast television in Canada. As of 2008, TSN was available in approximately 8.8 million of Canada's 13 million households. Corey Mace (born December 22, 1985) is a former Canadian football defensive tackle who is currently the defensive coordinator for the Toronto Argonauts of the Canadian Football League (CFL). He was signed by the Buffalo Bills as an undrafted free agent in 2007. He played college football at Wyoming Cowboys football, Wyoming. College career Mace played college football at Palomar College before transferring to the University of Wyoming. Ezekiel Aaron Moreno (born October 8, 1978) is a former professional American football linebacker. Early years Moreno, who is of Mexican descent, attended Castle Park High School in Chula Vista and was a letterman in football and baseball. In football, College career Moreno played college football for the University of Southern California's defense from 1998-2000. Known as "Zeke And Destroy" by many USC-faithful, Moreno was a force in the middle of the USC defense. The 2006 CFL season is considered to be the 53rd season in modern-day Canadian football, although it is officially the 49th Canadian Football League season. CFL News in 2006 It was announced on April 9, 2006 that the CFL had suspended the operations of the Ottawa Renegades for the 2006 season, thus making the CFL an eight team league and moving the Winnipeg Blue Bombers to the East Division for at least the 2006 season.
