Russ Tolman
Russ Tolman (born August 15, 1956) is a singer-songwriter who came to international attention in the 1980s as guitarist, songwriter, and producer of True West, a band associated with the Paisley Underground. Early life and career Tolman was born August 15, 1956, and raised in Northern California. His father was a sheep rancher, and his mother was a former burlesque dancer who worked during World War II as a "Rosie the Riveter". He is the grandson of noted psychologist Edward C. Tolman, and great-nephew of Manhattan Project physicist Richard C. Tolman. While attending school at University of California, Davis, Tolman was a DJ at the student radio station KDVS, where he met a pre-Dream Syndicate Steve Wynn and Kendra Smith, who were also disc jockeys at the station. Together in 1978 they formed Suspects, which was touted as Davis's first New Wave band. Warren Tolman
Warren Eugene Tolman (born October 23, 1959) is an American politician who has served as a member of both houses of the Massachusetts General Court. He was the Democratic nominee for Lieutenant Governor of Massachusetts in 1998, and was a candidate for Governor of Massachusetts in 2002, and Massachusetts Attorney General in 2014. Legal and political career The seventh of eight children and first in his family to graduate from college, Tolman received a Bachelor's Degree in Economics from Amherst College and a Juris Doctor from Boston College Law School. Between college and law school, Tolman worked as a United Parcel Service driver and as a substitute teacher in the Watertown Public Schools. He was elected to the Massachusetts House of Representatives in 1990 and the Massachusetts Senate in 1994. Aiden Tolman
Aiden Tolman (born 10 November 1988) is a former Australian professional rugby league footballer who last played as a for the Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks in the NRL. He previously played for the Melbourne Storm and the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs in the National Rugby League, and played at representative level for NSW Country. On 25 August 2022, Tolman announced he was retiring at the end of the season. Early life Tolman was born in Kempsey, New South Wales, Australia. He was educated at St Paul's College, Kempsey and represented 2006 Australian Schoolboys. He has also played for the Junior Kangaroos. USS Tolman
USS ''Tolman'' (DD-740/DM-28/MMD-28) was a destroyer minelayer in the United States Navy. Namesake Charles E. Tolman was born on 25 June 1903 in Concord, Massachusetts. He entered the United States Naval Academy in the summer of 1921 and graduated on 4 June 1925. After serving on the battleship , he was transferred to in 1926. Tolman then completed training courses at the Naval Torpedo Station, Newport, Rhode Island, and at the Submarine Base, New London, Connecticut. He served on submarines in 1928 and from 1929 to 1932 when he returned to the Naval Academy for two years. He then served on the submarine in 1934 and commanded from April 1935 to May 1937. He was attached to the Office of the Chief of Naval Operations for 17 months before assuming command of on 7 October 1939.
