Todarpur Urf Theh Pachrali is a village in the Garhshanker tehsil within the Hoshiarpur district of Punjab, India, Punjab state, India. Location It is located approximately 30 km from Hoshiarpur, 25km from Phagwara and 125 km from the state capital of Chandigarh. It hails in Garhshankar tehsil. History and demographics The village was founded by brothers Chaudry Dullah Gujjar and Chaudry Phulla Gujjar (given names Abdullah and Luttfullah respectively). Their children migrated to western Punjab in 1947 on partition, living in districts Faisalabad (Chak no.467 GB Samundri), Sahiwal and Pakpattan. Garhshankar is a city in Hoshiarpur district in the state of Punjab (India), Punjab, India. Chowdhury (also: Choudhuri, Chaudhuri, Choudhury, Chaudhri, Chaudhary) is a title of honour, usually hereditary, originating from the Indian subcontinent. It is an adaption from Sanskrit. During the Mughal rule, it was a title awarded to eminent people, while during British rule, the term was associated with zamindars and social leaders. The common female equivalent was Chowdhurani. Meaning "Chowdhury" is a term adapted from the Sanskrit words ''čatus'' "four-way, all-round" and ''dhurīya'' "undertaking a burden", denoting the head of a community or caste.
