Toby Crabel
Toby Crabel (born 1955) is a tennis player who is now a commodities trader. In 2005, the ''Financial Times'' called Crabel "the most well-known trader on the counter-trend side". He is the fund manager of "Crabel Capital Management," which has previously ranked highly on ''Absolute Return'' magazine's list of US groups with more than $1 billion Assets under management. N.B. This ranking of the top 196 money managers in the country is over seven years out-of-date. Crabel managed 3.2 billion dollars with growth of 16.7% in 2005. Crabel has a strong record of positive returns, having avoided a single losing year between 1991 and 2002. Crabel released his book, ''Day Trading with Short-term Price Patterns'', in 1990. International Tennis Federation
The International Tennis Federation (ITF) is the governing body of world tennis, wheelchair tennis, and beach tennis. It was founded in 1913 as the International Lawn Tennis Federation by twelve national tennis associations. ''MARHedge'' (or ''Managed Account Reports Hedge'') was a semi-monthly financial newsletter and the most prominent publication focusing on the hedge fund industry for most of its history which circulated between 1994 and 2006. It was originally distributed under the name HEDGE and has also gone under the name ''Managed Account Reports LLC''. The newsletter stopped distribution in November 2006 after Euromoney Institutional Investor’s acquired ''MARHedge''. After leaving the magazine, former managing editor Michael Ocrant said that he and the magazine's staff were misled by industry insiders regarding several accounts, including Bernie Madoff's. Richard Dennis
Richard J. Dennis, a commodities speculator once known as the "Prince of the Pit," was born in Chicago, in January, 1949. In the early 1970s, he borrowed $1,600 and reportedly made $350 million in about six years. When a futures trading fund under his management incurred significant losses in the stock market crash of 1987 he retired from trading for several years. He has been active in Democratic and Libertarian political causes, most notably in campaigns against drug prohibition. Career Dennis became an order runner on the trading floor of the Chicago Mercantile Exchange at age 17. A few years later, he began trading for his own account at the MidAmerica Commodity Exchange, an entry-level floor where "mini" contracts were traded. To circumvent a rule requiring traders to be at least twenty-one years of age, he worked as his own runner, and hired his father, who traded in his stead in the pit. Monroe Trout Jr. (born January 22, 1962) is a retired financial speculator and hedge fund manager profiled in the book '' New Market Wizards'' by Jack D. Schwager. Trout's expertise is in quantitative analysis, with pattern recognition backed by statistical analysis. He subscribes to Ayn Rand's Objectivism. He has traded stocks, stock index futures, commodity futures, and options on all these, both for his own account and as an advisor for others. Early years Monroe Trout Jr. is the son of Monroe E.
