Tobin Anderson
Tobin Anderson (born December 1, 1971) is an American basketball coach who is the current head coach of the Iona Gaels men's basketball team. Early life Anderson grew up in Iowa and played at Interstate 35 High School in Truro where he was an all-star in 1990. His father, Steve, was the head coach at Interstate 35 High School for almost three decades and later coached at Douglas High School in Box Elder, South Dakota. Anderson played college basketball at Wesleyan University from 1991 to 1995, where as of 2022 he ranks 11th all-time in career scoring. Anderson then earned a Master's Degree in Athletic Administration from Florida State University, graduating in 1996. Coaching career Anderson's coaching career began at Clarkson in 1996 as an assistant coach. After one season, he joined Dave Paulsen's coaching staff at Le Moyne for two seasons before returning to Clarkson as head coach. Iona Gaels Men's Basketball
The Iona Gaels men's basketball team represents Iona University in New Rochelle, New York in NCAA Division I competition. The school's team competes in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) and plays home games in Hynes Athletic Center. On March 14, 2020, the Gaels hired Rick Pitino as their head coach. History Iona University has been competing in Division I basketball since the school's inception in 1940. Dave Paulsen
Dave Paulsen (born September 14, 1964) is an American college basketball coach who is currently the head coach at College of the Holy Cross, Holy Cross. Previously, he was the head men's basketball coach at George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia. Before arriving at George Mason, he was previously the head coach at Bucknell University for seven seasons. Prior to Bucknell, he spent eight years as the head coach at his alma mater, Williams College in Williamstown, Massachusetts, and also coached at St. Lawrence University in Canton (village), New York, Canton, New York, and Le Moyne College in Syracuse, New York. Coaching career At Williams College, Paulsen won the NCAA Division III title in 2003, and finished as national runner up in 2004 in sports, 2004. First Four
The First Four is a play-in round of the NCAA Division I men's and women's basketball tournaments. It consists of two games contested between the four lowest-ranked teams in the field, and two games contested between the four lowest-seeded "at-large" teams in the field, which determine the last four teams to qualify for the 64-team bracket that plays the first round. In 2001, the champion of the recently-formed Mountain West Conference began to receive an automatic bid to the men's tournament. The NCAA did not wish to reduce the number of at-large teams in the tournament, which therefore expanded the field to 65 teams; to preserve a 64-team bracket for the first round, an Opening Round game would be played between the two lowest-seeded automatic qualifying teams, with the winner of this play-in game advancing to the first round. The 2022–23 Merrimack Warriors men's basketball team represented Merrimack College in the 2022–23 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Warriors, led by seventh-year head coach Joe Gallo, played their home games at Hammel Court in North Andover, Massachusetts as members of the Northeast Conference. The 2023 Northeast Conference Men's Basketball Tournament was the postseason men's basketball tournament for the Northeast Conference for the 2022–23 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. Greg Herenda
Greg Herenda (born April 2, 1961) is an American basketball coach and former player. He is currently an assistant coach at Elon. He is the former head coach of the Fairleigh Dickinson Knights men's basketball team. and previously served as the head coach at UMass Lowell. Biography Herenda grew up in North Bergen, New Jersey and played high school basketball at St. Peter's Preparatory School. Mitch Buonaguro
Mitch Buonaguro (born December 4, 1953) is an American college basketball coach and current consultant at Saint Rose. Coaching career Buonaguro was an assistant coach under Rollie Massimino for the national champion 1984–85 Villanova Wildcats men's basketball team. Buonaguro was the head coach at Fairfield University from 1985 to 1991.
