''To Hare is Human'' is a 1956 Warner Bros. ''Merrie Melodies'' cartoon directed by Chuck Jones. The short was released on December 15, 1956, and stars Bugs Bunny and Wile E. Coyote. In this film, Wile builds a UNIVAC computer, and grows to rely on its answers. Plot Wile E. Coyote employs a series of increasingly elaborate schemes to capture Bugs Bunny, utilizing a foldable elevator and a super smart computer called UNIVAC. In one scenario, Wile E. Coyote ensnares Bugs Bunny in a sack rigged with dynamite but is outsmarted when Bugs escapes, causing an explosion that buys him time to flee. Undeterred, Wile E. Coyote utilizes the UNIVAC to devise new strategies, each met with humorous failure. Chuck Jones
Charles Martin Jones (September 21, 1912 – February 22, 2002) was an American animator, painter, voice actor and filmmaker, best known for his work with Warner Bros. Cartoons on the ''Looney Tunes'' and ''Merrie Melodies'' series of shorts. He wrote, produced, and/or directed many classic animated cartoon shorts starring Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Wile E. Coyote and the Road Runner, Pepé Le Pew, Marvin the Martian, and Porky Pig, among others. Jones started his career in 1933 alongside Tex Avery, Friz Freleng, Bob Clampett, and Robert McKimson at the Leon Schlesinger Production's Termite Terrace studio, the studio that made Warner Brothers cartoons, where they created and developed the Looney Tunes characters. During the Second World War, Jones directed many of the ''Private Snafu'' (1943–1946) shorts which were shown to members of the United States military. ''Ali Baba Bunny'' is a 1957 Warner Bros. ''Merrie Melodies'' parody animated short directed by Chuck Jones. The short was released on February 9, 1957, and stars Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck. Bugs and Daffy are heading towards Pismo Beach, California, but somehow arrive instead to the Arabian Desert. They discover a cave with hidden treasure, but they have to outwit its guard. Bugs poses as a jinn to do so. Later, Daffy discovers an actual jinn in an oil lamp. After insulting the jinn, Daffy shrinks to miniature size. The film is named after the folk tale '' Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves'', and parodies some of its themes. The plot is primarily driven by Daffy's greed. ''Wideo Wabbit'' is a 1956 Warner Bros. ''Looney Tunes'' cartoon directed by Robert McKimson. The short was released on October 27, 1956, and stars Bugs Bunny and Elmer Fudd. In the film, Bugs volunteers for an appearance in a television show hosted by Elmer. He is unaware that this is a show about hunting techniques, and he volunteers to become a hunter's prey. Plot Bugs Bunny is singing "This Is My Lucky Day" when he comes on an ad in the newspaper wanting a rabbit for a show at the QTTV-TV studio. When he gets there, the producer makes Bugs climb a ladder wired to a 10,000-volt fuse box.
